If the mind has that, it is because it engages in eliminating all unreal appearances. However, it is not enough to merely not appear simultaneously. It is said, and also, the sphere of infinite space, etc., is not engaging in the aspect of selflessness, because it does not turn back from the view of self, therefore the suffering that is its cause also does not turn back. Moreover, here, aging and death, etc., which are experienced from birth to birth, are the truth of suffering. The clinging to self, etc., which is their cause, is the truth of origin. The wheel of the mandala, which is their antidote, is the truth of the path. In order to completely eliminate the arising of suffering, the completely transformed place that has the nature of the mind's continuum is the truth of cessation, and this is the ultimate truth here. Thus, infinite space, because the mind does not turn towards selflessness, so practicing it will not harm self-grasping, therefore even if one practices it, one will not be liberated from samsara. The mind that has the aspect of a wheel, because it engages in selflessness that blocks the object of self-grasping, so the way in which it can turn back self-grasping has been well separated and proclaimed. Destroying self-grasping with the wisdom that realizes selflessness from the perspective of contradiction is also from the perspective of inverted consciousness and non-inverted consciousness, and that establishment also depends on whether there is a supporting valid cognition or not. The Lord of Reasoning said: "Which of those has valid cognition, that will accomplish the task of harming others." It is said similarly. For the realized wise person, if the root of bondage, self-grasping, and the view of selflessness that contradicts it, do not exist in the place where doubts arise, then the essence of the path that liberates from samsara will be lost. The wise should know that this debate and this way of answering are necessary for both of these stages. From that kind of perspective, seeing the object to be harmed and the agent of harm once, that is familiarizing oneself with the antidote. If its familiarization increases, the unfavorable aspects will gradually cease, and finally be uprooted from the root. In the Accomplishing Means All Good, it is said: "Whatever is unfavorable to whatever, even if it changes once, that path will increase, seeing and learning will increase in various ways, one's own unfavorable will completely cease." It is said, in the Commentary on Valid Cognition, decrease

I, the excellent supports, because of being together with the unfavorable aspects, because of habituating to that, I transform, and in that, the outflows will be exhausted. This is the meaning of what was said. Here, Shantipa establishes with 'abiding transformation, non-reversal, harmlessness' etc. from the Pramanavarttika, and glorious Phaladorje establishes that the root of samsara is self-grasping with 'If self exists, then know others.' etc. At the time of establishing the view of Samyak-sadhana-sarva-bhadra, Thagana and glorious Phaladorje quoted many scriptural citations from the Pramanavarttika and established the view. And many other mantra panditas also established it by taking the scriptural citations of the Pramanavarttika as the source. Therefore, those who regard the treatises of the two lords of reasoning as meaningless in general during the time of inner science and especially during the time of mantra, and those who speak that way to others, are those whose minds are weakened by walking on the path of reasoning, and whose formulations of reasoning, drawn from the path of entering into wisdom that is difficult to fathom, are unstable. Therefore, they are babblings that cannot be uttered in the presence of scholars who are able to distinguish the meaning of the scriptures with subtle reasoning. That yogi who enters into the suchness of selflessness of the mind with the form of a wheel, as glorious Phaladorje said, is the common aspect of the three samadhis, so it is also the intention of Yeshe Zhabs. Therefore, although one mainly meditates on the wheel of the deity of the appearing side during the first stage, one should also strongly draw the ascertainment of the meaning of the selflessness of all phenomena and train to appear everything like an illusion. After meditating on the wheel of the deity, one should focus on the deity as the object, and the wisdom that ascertains the meaning of selflessness should enter into emptiness with the grasping of ascertainment. And the yoga of indivisibility of clarity and emptiness, in which the apprehended aspect appears as the deity, the dependent and the depended upon, should also be practiced by alternating between realization and meditation. Seeing this freedom of meaning, in the Hevajra Root Tantra it says: 'The yogi of the generation stage, the one with vows should meditate on elaboration, having made elaboration like a dream, by the nature of elaboration, make non-elaboration.' And in its explanatory tantra, the Gurtantra, it also says: 'For example, the moon in the water, friends, is neither true nor false, like that, in this mandala wheel, clear and bright.'
