For those Vajra masters who have previously been able to accomplish the recitation, when performing peaceful rituals, such as dispelling obstacles, if they generate the pride of being Vajradhara, saying things like "I am the glorious Vajradhara," then the pride of myself and him will be genuine. But for those who do not have this ability, it will only become verbal pride, so (the master) said that previous recitation is very important. Not just verbal, but special pride and appearance must also first be generated through the practice of verbal artificial pride and appearance, so one must first strive for this. Due to the power of habit, when abiding in the deity yoga, if other appearances such as eye consciousness do not appear, it is because the mind consciousness is too focused on that object, causing the energy of the direct cause of the arising of the eye, etc., to weaken, so those (eye, etc.) have not arisen for the time being, so other appearances such as color have not appeared, but it is not that those appearances are blocked by the generation stage. As the King of Reasoning (Nagarjuna) said: "By the consciousness clinging to other objects, it is powerless and does not grasp other objects." If through this special appearance, one obtains the ability to prevent ordinary appearances in the face of mind consciousness, then one can achieve the purpose, and even if one does not transform things into deities, but if one generates the genuine pride of the deity, one can also achieve the purpose. The second part has three aspects: how much realization should be meditated upon, how to extract the clear appearance, and how to establish the abiding. First, if learning the generation stage is like learning the completion stage, by meditating on each object, so that the former is stable and then transferred to the latter, or is it to meditate on all the contents from beginning to end of a practice in one session? In this regard, it is necessary to understand that Marmeza (Atisha) divided the practitioner of the path into four types according to the different stages of the path arising in the continuum, and explained the differences in how much and how they each practice. He said: "Get up in the morning as before, good recitation is the work of the first, because wisdom has descended slightly, possessing the vows and asceticism of mantra, blessing the eyes and body, etc., diligently reciting in the session, perfecting all images, the one who performs the spreading and gathering, slightly obtaining the power of wisdom, diligently practicing yoga day and night."

Rely. The true wisdom attains mastery in meditation. Which dust of realms is supreme in the three realms? The one with the body of the image's self-nature performs the deeds for the benefit of sentient beings. As it is said, the first practitioner, the one who has received a little wisdom, and one aspect of having a little mastery over wisdom, is the stage of the generation phase. However, truly gaining mastery over wisdom is the stage when the completion phase has progressed to a high level. At that time, in the first stage, one must completely meditate on all the rituals of the generation phase that arise from one's own practice method. As Shantipa said: "Well recited is the one who has the work of the first." This means that the first practitioner should accurately recite all the rituals without omission. Similarly, Palden also divided it into four and said that in the first stage, all four yogas must be meditated upon. In the twelfth spike, it is also said: "In that way only, everything is complete and without deficiency, the first practitioner should do it." Therefore, it is said in agreement. Now, how long should one be considered a first practitioner? In the commentary "Precious Lamp" on the seventeen of the Enemy Black, it says: "Also, the yogi of the first practice, until the coarse appearance of the limbs of the deities becomes like direct perception, in the three sessions, all four yogas should be meditated upon." And in the commentary on the four hundred and fifty, it says: "From the ability to manifest the mandala of the coarse body in an instant, it is established as having received a little wisdom, so from the beginning of meditation, until the coarse mandala cannot clearly appear in an instant, everything should be done as the first practice." In the Five Stages and the Compendium of Conduct, establishing everything up to the completion of the generation phase as the first practice is the first practice in relation to the completion phase, but what is said here is the first practice divided by stages in the first stage itself, so there is no contradiction. As for the one who has received a little wisdom, in the commentary on the four hundred and fifty, it says: "Whoever can manifest the mandala of the coarse body in an instant, but cannot manifest the essence of the subtle earth and so on, and the vajra body and so on, and also possesses the vows and asceticism of mantra, that one who has obtained its power is called having a little mastery over wisdom." As it is said, the one who has received a little wisdom in the root text has the same meaning. Here, the coarse
