In the commentary on the Vinayasamuccaya, although those heretical views were refuted in detail, they were not written down for fear of their abundance. Secondly, if the generation stage is the path to Buddhahood, then in the Vimalaprabha it says: "The nature of the path, such as various conceptualizations, is what the Tathagata has spoken of, those with sixteen and four kinds of distinctions, cannot be attained without the path. The Hum (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) and Phat (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phat) syllables, etc., mentioned in the generation stage, are free from conceptualization, and are the very yoga of the completion stage. There is no other means of accomplishment than that." And it says: "If one becomes accustomed to contemplating the wheel of the mandala, such as forms, worldly accomplishments will be achieved, but how could supreme accomplishments be achieved?" Therefore, there is no other path to Buddhahood than the completion stage, and the generation stage only achieves worldly accomplishments, not supreme accomplishments. Furthermore, when contemplating the main deity, there are no deities such as those in the east, and similarly, there are no faces and hand gestures, etc. In the end, it says: "Therefore, yogis should not practice conceptual contemplation for the sake of the accomplishment of the great seal." Because there is no reason for the wheel of the mandala to exist in the mind of conceptualization, one should not practice the generation stage for the sake of Buddhahood. If you think so, then these become contradictions. These are your words spoken without understanding the meaning of the scriptures, because the first verse clearly states that if one is separated from the great bliss path of the sixteen joys, one cannot attain Buddhahood through the generation stage, but it does not indicate that one does not need to practice the generation stage for Buddhahood. Therefore, the second verse, which says that there is no other means of accomplishment, should also be understood in the same way. Saying that the generation stage cannot achieve supreme accomplishments is because if one contemplates the body color, face, hand gestures, etc., of the deity and the support, and the habit becomes more and more skilled, so that the mandala of the deity and the support appears clearly and stably, it is forbidden to think that one can attain Buddhahood just by that. It means that in this way, one can only achieve common accomplishments, not supreme accomplishments, therefore it does not mean that one does not need the generation stage for Buddhahood.

In the 'Stainless Light,' it says: 'If here, merely making manifest the realm of exhaustion or the wheel of the mandala, the three realms will be made manifest, and one will also become omniscient, etc. In that case, in order to attain the state of omniscience, manifesting omniscience itself, the wisdom of the path itself, and the wisdom of the branches of the path itself, would not be established. Even if merely making manifest exhaustion, etc., or the wheel of the mandala, one would become a perfectly complete Buddha, and would not become a Hearer, Solitary Realizer, or Accomplished One.' It also says: 'If here, without relying on the accumulation of merit and wisdom by yogis, merely through the power of habituating meditation, the aggregates, elements, sense bases, etc., will transform into the form of the wheel of the mandala, and through the power of meditating on permanence, one will also become a Buddha. In that case, another person with little merit, thinking, "I am a king," would also become a king merely through the power of habituation, without relying on the accumulation of merit; this has never been seen.' Therefore, without accumulating other accumulations of merit and wisdom, merely habituating the generation stage, and then thinking that manifesting the mandala will lead to Buddhahood, is prohibited, because it is stated very clearly. Therefore, without practicing other paths, merely relying on habituating the generation stage, one can only accomplish common siddhis, not Buddhahood. The Great Commentary also says this repeatedly. Do not say that this is the view of the Kalachakra school, prohibiting the generation stage as the path to enlightenment. The meaning of 'one will also become a Buddha' is: if one thinks of becoming a Buddha at that time, that is the meaning, and it is not prohibiting becoming a Buddha by relying on it. In the Great Commentary, it says: 'Through the power of habituating meditation, the aggregates, elements, sense bases, etc., will transform into the form of the wheel of the mandala. Merely relying on it, hasn't the Tathagata also said that one will become a Buddha?' Some people will think like this. However, if the path of omniscience declines, and is suppressed by false pride, one will boast that one is Vajrasattva with the ten powers, and boast in this way.
