It is said. It is said as such. The way to enter the path of wisdom through the door of divine yoga is as follows: The divine yoga that appears as the union of the father and mother deities who desire special skillful means and wisdom. Although there are many differences in the path in the Unsurpassed, it is named as the Two-in-One Tantra, and the Tantra itself speaks of the Two-in-One aspect very much. Through this door, by making attachment the path, emptiness is realized through the key point of the union of the two bodhicittas. Because of the lack of such special skillful means of making attachment the path, the union of the seven limbs is not mentioned in the lower three tantras. Nevertheless, there is the practice of making the joy arising from playfulness, looking, embracing, or hugging the path, so in general, there is some attachment to desirable qualities as the path. As it says in the twenty-fifth chapter of the Garland of Ears: "The tantras of the four, Action, Performance, Yoga, and Unsurpassed Yoga, are represented by playfulness, looking, embracing, pairs, and holding hands." Thus, in some of the Action Tantras, the deities reveal their attachment to wisdom and skillful means by looking. Some are smiling. Some are holding hands. Some are embracing. Some are pairs. And as it says in the third chapter of the Later Examination: "Playfulness and looking, embracing and likewise pairs, the tantras are also of four kinds." In the commentary, it says: "The four are the Action, Performance, Yoga, and Unsurpassed Yoga Tantras, represented by playfulness, looking, embracing, and union. Thus, in the Action Tantras and so on, wherever the Buddhas of skillful means and wisdom show the smile of attachment, some are looking after it, some are embracing, some are two by two." As Shantipa said. Among them, the Buddhas are connected with looking, because the one who looks at playfulness and so on should be the Buddhas. If you ask what the function of looking and so on is, the answer is: It can reveal the attachment to wisdom and skillful means.

Having spoken, this indicates that male and female deities are mutually attached. However, since attachment is impossible for deities such as Vairocana and Locanā, here it refers to practitioners who hold the pride of that deity. Because the views and so forth of all those to be tamed by the tantras must use attachment as the path, this is the meaning of the occasion. Moreover, in Kriya and Carya and so forth, it is said that male and female deities look at each other, and if these are not applied to those to be tamed, the distinctions of those to be tamed cannot be discerned through them. Furthermore, not only are wild actions and so forth spoken of in Anuttarayoga, but the basis for these is also spoken of in the lower tantras. Meaning, In the detailed ritual of the noose, it says, "The face of the Bhagavan should be turned towards the wrathful, frowning one," and "On the right side, the goddess Tara, with shyness, her body bent, should have her eyes fixed on the mudra of supreme giving. On the left, the beautiful one of the lotus family, with shyness, conforming to the manner of secret mantra, should cast her eyes on the unfailing noose." And, in the Abhisambodhi of Vairocana, it says, "On his right is the goddess called Buddha Eye. The goddess with a slightly smiling face, a mandala of light completely filled, an incomparable body utterly clear. She is the mother of Shakyamuni." And, "The valiant Avalokiteshvara sits on a white lotus seat, like conch and jasmine, like the moon. On his head resides Amitabha. His face is painted with a slight smile. On his right is the goddess Tara, the greatly renowned one, virtuous and dispelling fear." And, in Tsemö, it says, "The goddess Vajra makes a 'ca-co' sound, embracing her own goddess in the center. Her head is turned on his chest, looking everywhere with a smile, holding the hand of the Bhagavan." And, in Shri Paramadya, it says, "Beside him is a great vajra, an arrow striving to pierce, completely embraced by an arrogant arm, and adorned with a makara banner raised high." These are just examples; the practitioner should generate whichever deity is appropriate for the occasion and look at each other, and so forth, using the joy and bliss arising from mutual attachment as the path. This is also not done in the lower tantras by aiming at an external mudra, tantra.
