Regarding the fruit to be attained, the two kinds of Buddhas distinguished in the Abhisamayalankara are: "After passing the ninth bhumi, the wisdom, by which the Buddha dwells in the Buddha-position, that is the position of the Bodhisattva, it should be known as the tenth bhumi." As such, the tenth bhumi is said to be the Buddha. Vajradhara, however, says it is the eleventh bhumi. Although there are mentions of the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth bhumis in the tantras, Indian scholars say that those are classifications and groupings with the bhumis spoken of in the Prajnaparamita, which will be explained at the time of the fruit. Therefore, the eleventh, the Samantaprabha bhumi, should be considered synonymous with Vajradhara, and it should be known that the Sutra Pitaka says it takes three countless eons, while the Tantra Pitaka says it can be accomplished in one lifetime. Do not think that because Vajradhara is mentioned, it is not the fruit of the Prajnaparamita vehicle. As it is said in the "Differentiation of the Accomplishment of Suchness": "The glorious great bliss Vajrasattva, which is to be realized by other paths through countless eons, those who possess the means of the Vajrayana can accomplish it in this very life without difficulty." Thus, it should be done as Palden Shiwacho said, that Vajradhara himself is the fruit to be obtained by both paths. Furthermore, the commentary on the Kalasamvara Tantra, the ManNye, also says: "The Buddha himself is the master of the ten bhumis. The fully enlightened Buddha himself is the attainment of the extraordinary path. The Vajradhara himself is the master of the eleventh bhumi." And the Three Categories of Light says: "Although the meaning is one, do not be confused." The meaning of this is that the meaning to be obtained by both mantra and Prajnaparamita is the same, which you yourself have also acknowledged. Moreover, the Prajnaparamita says that what is obtained by Samantaprabha is the abandonment of all obscurations, including their imprints, and the attainment of all the qualities of the Buddha, such as the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, and the unmixed qualities. If it is said that there is a Buddha superior to the one spoken of there, then it must be admitted that even though all obscurations, including their imprints, have been abandoned, faults have still not been completely eliminated, and even though one hundred and forty-four uncontaminated qualities, such as the ten powers, have been obtained, qualities have still not been fully attained. Therefore, for such a state, it is not possible to reach it by the path spoken of in the Prajnaparamita alone, without relying on the path of mantra.

If we analyze, it seems that many Indian (རྒྱ་གར) scholars have written related treatises. Although there are many methods of analysis, they all believe that one can reach the space between the Land of Universal Light (ཀུན་ཏུ་འོད) solely through the path of Paramita (ཕར་ཕྱིན). Even so, it is still possible to surpass it. I do not find this statement reasonable. The progression of the two paths, regardless of whether it requires countless eons, even if there are differences in the ability to attain Buddhahood, has not become a cause for good or bad results. Therefore, one cannot prove that the difference in paths is meaningless. Even if there is no distinction between good and bad results, there is a great difference in the distance of the results. The second point is divided into two aspects: the characteristics of one's own school, and the characteristics spoken of by other teachers. The first point is: the quick characteristics of the lower three tantras and the Paramita Vehicle lie in relying on the power of deity yoga and recitation, obtaining many common accomplishments, and being directly accepted and blessed by Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas, and other skillful means, thereby perfecting the conduct of Bodhi. The quick characteristics of the Anuttara Tantra are: the generation stage also has many profound points that the lower three tantras do not have, and the completion stage has extremely supreme profound points, which will be explained later. The quick characteristic of attaining Buddhahood without having to go through countless eons is a characteristic of the Anuttara Tantra. Therefore, if the disciples of the lower three tantras want to obtain such achievements, they must also rely on the two stages of the Anuttara Tantra; it is not enough to rely solely on their own path. Therefore, all arguments about the quick characteristics of mantra should not be understood solely as attaining Buddhahood in one lifetime during the time of debate, or attaining Buddhahood without having to go through countless eons. The second point is divided into two aspects: the statement from the Commentary on the Source of Discipline (སྡོམ་འབྱུང་འགྲེལ་པ་), and the statement from the Lamp of Three Aspects (ཚུལ་གསུམ་སྒྲོན་མེ). The first point is: Ratnarakshita said in the chapter on the completion stage that the meditation on non-elaboration is the same in both. The Bodhisattva who obtains the samadhi in which all dharmas are pervaded by happiness from the meeting of father and son, has only the feeling of happiness for all objects, and does not produce suffering or equanimity. Even if cut into the size of a Karshapana (ཀཪྵ་པ་ན), or trampled by elephants, only the feeling of happiness arises. He also said that this happiness is also the mantra's.
