I pray to all. The meaning of the mantra is: In order to draw the lines of the great mandala, please grant me the vajra line. Shāśvata (Tibetan: ཤཱ་ཤྭ་ཏ་) is eternal, which means urging Vairochana. Place yellow ja (ཛ) on the left and right eyes, and gradually make them the yellow nature of the sun and moon. Recite "Om Dipta Drishta Am Kushi Ja (Tibetan: ༀ་དཱིཔྟ་དྲིཥྚ་ཨཾ་ཀུ་ཤི་ཛ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ दीप्तदृष्ट अङ्कुशि ज, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ dīpta dṛṣṭa aṅkuśi ja, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, bright sight, hook, ja)", then roll your eyes very quickly, raise and blink your eyelids, urging or releasing Vairochana and others with a burning gaze like an iron hook, bend the lines, and integrate the lines of their respective colors into the lines held in your hands. Sarahah and Krishnacharya invite the deity and merge. Lavapa and Dipamkara Shrijnana and many others invite the line and merge. Then, together with the disciple, recite "Om Ah Anyonya Anugata Sarvadharma Sphara Sphara Anupravishta Sarvadharma Atyanta Anupravishta Sarvadharma Om Ah Hum (Tibetan: ༀ་ཨཿ ཨ་ནྱོ་ནྱ་ཨ་ནུ་ག་ཏཱ་སརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿ སྥ་ར་སྥ་ར་ཨ་ནུ་པྲ་བིཥྚཱཿ སརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿ ཨཏྱནྟ་ཨ་ནུ་པྲ་བིཥྚཿ སརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿ ༀ་ཨཱཿ ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ anyonya anugatā sarvadharmāḥ sphara sphara anupraviṣṭāḥ sarvadharmāḥ atyanta anupraviṣṭaḥ sarvadharmāḥ oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Ah, all dharmas are mutually compliant, spread spread, enter all dharmas, completely enter all dharmas, Om, Ah, Hum)", first make each of the five lines into a single line, and then twist the five lines into one thread. The meaning of the first mantra is: all dharmas are mutually compliant, that is, one abides in one. The meaning of the second mantra is: all dharmas enter each other, that is, one merges into one. The meaning of the third mantra is: all dharmas completely enter, that is, one merges into one without distinction. The Samucchaya Sutra says: The nature of all dharmas should be intertwined with each other. The measurement of the length of the line is: the guru and the disciple put the line from the index finger of the left hand into the center of the four fingers and pull it out, make a vajra fist, and attach it to the back of the finger, except for attaching to the back of the finger, it is twice the mandala, and the thickness is one-twentieth of the door. After twisting, put it in a clean container such as gold that has been smeared with incense beforehand, fill it with fragrant water, five amritas, and five jewels, put in the three syllables, offer with incense, flowers, and incense, touch with your hands and recite the winding, and protect it. The Four Hundred and Fifty Verses says: The yogi should put the three syllables into it. The commentary says: Because the three syllables have been put in. Therefore, the three syllables are not integrated into the line.

The thread is placed within the three syllables. The method for that is as it says in the ritual of the Vajrakila Activity Sequence: "The three syllables Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ are placed at the two ends and in the center." Then, from the syllables ma and ṭa in the right and left eyes, generate the sun and moon, and stabilize them with "Vajra Dṛṣṭi Ma Ṭa." Anoint with amṛta water, mustard seeds, and scented water, reciting all activities, and touch with the right hand holding the vajra. Recite "Oṃ Vajra Samaya Sūtra Mati Krama Hūṃ," then recite the three syllables one hundred and eight times, and leave them remaining. Secondly, then sprinkle and purify the ground of the mandala with water from all the vases, and recite "Oṃ Sarva Sa Śo Dhani Hūṃ Phaṭ," purify the ground, apply fragrance, and scatter flowers as a pavement outside. Visualize the mandala to be drawn as residing in the sky, and offer the offering water and other offerings, and after making offerings and praises, visualize the sun and moon with yellow rays arising from the syllable ja in the left and right eyes of oneself and one's vajra brothers. Do it in the order of the moon and sun as it appears in the commentary on the Compendium of Samayas. Then, hold the center of the thread with one's own left vajra fist, and direct the three syllables jjaḥ jjaḥ jjaḥ and the three jas to the vajra brothers, and as they also recite those, pull it, and hold the center with the left vajra fist. Contemplate that all directions are equal, and together with the disciple who does not turn his back to the teacher, hold the thread with the thumb and forefinger of the right hand holding the vajra, and pluck it, making the sound of cymbals. In all thread plucking, also recite the mantra "Oṃ Vajra Samaya Sūtra" and say Hūṃ Oṃ Svā Āḥ Hā. The disciple not turning his back to the teacher is also necessary for the activity thread. The sound of the thread should also awaken all the Buddhas pervading the sky. Contemplate that they also come and dissolve into the threads. The meaning of the sound is: For the benefit of sentient beings, this is your time, therefore please come here. As it is said in the Garland Treatise, and as it is also explained by Marme Dze Zangpo, Lāva, Nagpo Chöpa, and Saraha and many others, the sound of the thread is sentient beings.
