Do. Regarding the order of the four root lines (rtsa thig), as explained here, they are arranged in the order of east, west, north, and south. Marme Zepa, Bari Kapa, Gyalwa Zangpo, and others have also stated this. Nagarjuna and Krishnacharya arrange them in the order of east, south, west, and north. Vava also arranges them in the order of east, west, south, and north, and there are cases where the two root lines of the west and south are drawn first, so it is uncertain. When drawing the central line, corner line, and root line, the positions of the teacher and student are definitely two by two. Regarding the central line, the two positions of the teacher are north and east, and the two positions of the student are south and west. Three masters say that the north-south central line is drawn first. The others mentioned earlier say that the west and south are the positions of the teacher, and the east and north are the positions of the student, as stated in the seventeenth chapter of the Compendium: In the positions of the west and south, the teacher निश्चित (Sanskrit Devanagari, niścita, Sanskrit Romanization, certainly), correctly abides. In the directional positions of the east and north, the student abides, maintaining equanimity. This is in accordance with the above statement. These are not distinctions between two tantras, and it seems that it doesn't matter which way it is done. Regarding the corner line, the two positions of the teacher are fire and emptiness (བདེན་བྲལ།), and the two positions of the student are wind and power (དབང་ལྡན།), as explained here, and the previous masters also thought so. However, Gyalwa Zangpo and Jaya Sena also have the opposite view. Nagarjuna believes that the teacher is located in power (དབང་ལྡན།) and the student is located in emptiness (བདེན་བྲལ།), and then the corner line is drawn, which appears in the translation of Patsab, but the opposite appears in the translation of Jue Wu. Regarding the root line, fire and wind are the positions of the teacher, and emptiness (བདེན་བྲལ།) and power (དབང་ལྡན།) are the positions of the student, as done here, and the previous masters are also the same. Regarding the direction to face, from the direction or corner where one is located, face the opposite direction or corner. There are three ways to draw lines. The clockwise direction is as explained here, as stated in the Commentary on the Four Hundred Verses and the Origin of the Day and Ratna Rakshita and others. The counterclockwise direction is as stated by Saraha, Krishnacharya, Vibhuti, and others. Alternating between clockwise and counterclockwise is as stated by Darika: With the combination of counterclockwise rotation, draw lines in all cases. The part of the corner is clockwise. That is, first draw the counterclockwise direction line, and then draw the clockwise corner line.

Klu-byang and Lwa-ba-pa did not clarify this. Bhu-ba Blo-ldan and Bi-bhu-ti said that if one does not circumambulate to the left in the mandala ritual of Hevajra, the student will be destroyed. However, the Vajra Dakini says: "Here, the teacher and students should circumambulate to the right." The commentary also says the same, and Da-ri-ka-pa also says that the boundary should be circumambulated to the right, so the mother tantras do not necessarily require leftward circumambulation. This teacher also made rightward circumambulation common to both tantras, and Ratna-ta also said that Hevajra should also circumambulate to the right. Gyalwa Zangpo also said: "Then the teacher and the Dharma friends, the act of circumambulating and walking, because the leftward practice is the main one, should always be done with leftward rituals. Even so, because it is difficult to understand due to dependence, one should circumambulate to the right." Just as it is said in the mandala ritual of Hevajra, Jaya-sena also said so in the mandala ritual of the Ocean of Dakinis. When drawing the remaining lines outside and inside the mandala, the rotation of the lines and the location and order of the dwelling places should be done as before. The Garland says that when drawing the lines in the respective directions of the nine great chapters, it is said in this way, and Lwa-ba-pa also said that the remaining lines should be drawn with the previous ritual. When drawing the karma lines, Klu-byang said that the teacher and student have fixed seats, so although the rotation of the lines is not explicitly stated, it is similar to the ye lines. Klu-byang, Lamka Gyal-zang, and Jaya-sena believe that the karma lines should be drawn by both the teacher and the Dharma friends. In the tantras and mandala rituals, it is also specifically mentioned that if the teacher cannot completely apply the colors when painting, he will be blamed. Regarding the lines, if the student is present, both of them draw together, and if he is not present, the teacher himself ties the string to the stake and draws. Since there is no special mention of the teacher, the teacher is required to draw both lines. Then, from the wall line to the arrow shaft, draw the lines of each part, and the summarizing verses of these lines are in the Garland: "On the lines of the east and other directions, holding the string, with four mandalas, at the ends of the head and tail of the fish, draw the Brahma line and the twin lines. That corner is the door width seven and direction, the center of the cubit and other root lines.
