Firstly, in response to preventing the holding of the elephant skin by the first two hands, it should be stated that Lalita also cited the statement that the first two hands hold the elephant skin. This master is the one who directly received the lineage from Orgyen, so he is considered reliable in this regard. However, this prevention of the first two hands holding the elephant skin does not state that this is his intention. If there is no other intention, then it contradicts the commitment. If there is another intention, it must also be stated, but it cannot be found. The reason that starting with the curved knife is the beginning of placing hand symbols on the deities of the mandala is very uncertain. If that were the case, then the beginning of placing hand symbols on the mandala, both the tantra and the forty-nine practices say "the head is in the east," so the first hands must hold the head. Moreover, there are many inconsistencies in the placement of hand symbols on the deities of the mandala and the order in which the hands hold the hand symbols. In particular, placing the elephant skin under the three-pronged spear and before the vajra mallet would also be unreasonable. The final placement of the hearth on the deity means that the final hands must hold it. Tibetan lamas have sometimes agreed with Indians from whom they have learned. But not all situations are like that, so it cannot be used as evidence to prove that things are that way. In particular, since Pandit Shantarakshita and Jnana Karara were misunderstood, the evidence of direct agreement between Pandits has become very uncertain. Even the title "Pandit the Wise" cannot be used to consider the Pandits learned by Ra and others in Tibet to be more intelligent than those Pandit the Wise. What we are saying is that we ourselves divide the first hands into two, and there are other Indians who say that. We are not saying "because they say so" as an argument, so there is no harm. Therefore, in the Seven Limbs Yoga and In the Sambhutitantra, after fully describing how the first two hands, right and left, hold the curved knife and skull cup, and how the sixteenth hands, right and left, hold the hand symbols, it only says "the two hands hold the wet elephant skin," but it does not say whether these two hands are the first or the last.
