It is impossible for a mule or a donkey to have horns on its head. If, by chance, there were horns, one should imagine that the shape of the horns would be something like this. Similarly, one should think that the shape of something that is truly established would be something like this. Why is that necessary? If one thinks that clinging to "I am real" is practice, then meditating on "I am not real" also becomes thinking "I am not real." Both of these are mere assumptions without any reason. If one thinks that something that is not established anywhere is the meaning of non-reality, then looking at it that way is nihilistic, and should be abandoned. Furthermore, is there a difference between not clinging to reality and clinging to non-reality? If there is no difference, then not doing evil and doing good would be no different. In that case, non-non-virtue and virtue would also be no different. In that case, indeterminate, which is neither virtue nor non-virtue, would be impossible to exist. Merely not being bad would have to become good. In that case, good, bad, and neutral would be impossible to exist. If there is a difference between not clinging to reality and clinging to non-reality, then please tell me what the difference is. Furthermore, some people think that when they carefully examine this mind to see what color and shape it is established as, and when they see that neither of these is established anywhere, that is seeing the mind. If that is the case, then is the sharp and long horn established on the head of a donkey or the head of a horse? When carefully examined, if one sees that neither of these is established anywhere, is that seeing the horn? Also, some people look at whether the mind is a color or a shape, and when they do not see either one, they introduce it as the mind is not established. If that is the case, then is this dog a lion or a fox? When carefully examined, if one does not see either one, can one say that the dog is not established? These two are the same. For example, just as a dog is not a lion or a fox, so it cannot be said to be not established, similarly, the mind is not a color or a shape, so it cannot be said to be not established. Furthermore, some people introduce that when one looks at the mind in that way, and one does not see any color or shape, that is seeing the nature or essence of the mind. If that is the case, then

If one looks and sees a lion and a fox, but does not see either of them, is that seeing the state or essence of a dog? Please explain why these two are not the same. Some also think that if one can maintain the mindfulness of looking intently at the face of the present moment of mind, then in the next moment, one will realize the emptiness of mind. Therefore, no matter what kind of conceptual thought arises, it is important not to be separated from the mindfulness of looking intently at the face of the moment it arises. If one can maintain such mindfulness, then to the extent possible, all conceptual thoughts that arise will be like bubbles, arising and self-liberating. In short, even if a conceptual thought arises in the first moment, when it is guarded by such mindfulness, the previous conceptual thought will appear as the Dharmakaya in the second moment. Therefore, no matter what kind of good or bad conceptual thought arises, do not deny it, and do not seek the Dharmakaya and wisdom separately, but transform the arising conceptual thought into wisdom, or see whatever arises as the face of the Dharmakaya. This view is supreme. At the time of death, whatever major or minor circumstances arise in the bardo, one can carry this view with them; there is nothing deeper than this. All phenomena and beings are inseparable from conceptual thought. All conceptual thoughts are equally tasted in the Dharmakaya, which is why it is said to be equal taste. Now, the question is: Is the method of observing the nature of mind the pith instruction of Nagarjuna? Or is it the method of examining and analyzing whatever internal and external phenomena arise between Buddha and hell with discriminating wisdom? Or is it not done that way, but observed in a general way? If it is the former, then what is the method of examining and analyzing with discriminating wisdom? If it is the latter, then with such a view, let alone seeing the Dharmakaya, it is impossible to realize emptiness. If one thinks that when a conceptual thought suddenly arises in the first moment, by looking intently at it, it will naturally disappear in the second moment, and that is what is meant by appearing as the Dharmakaya, then seeing that what suddenly arises in the first moment does not remain in the second moment is merely looking at things in an impermanent way, and it is not consistent with Nagarjuna's view of emptiness. If it is assumed to be a view of emptiness, then it does not surpass the view of emptiness of the two vehicles of the Shravakas. What do you think?
