After being well subdued by virtue, when leading to the island of liberation jewels, my retinue and the realm of activity have been greatly surpassed and there is nothing to do. Therefore, from now on, obstacles will be created. A small lamp is easily extinguished quickly, but the fire of a large forest is not like that. Thinking thus, the words of the great being were blocked from the path of others hearing them. Then, when the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita could not find a buyer, because his desired purpose was not accomplished, he thought, "Alas! I am a person of little merit!" and sat weeping. It is not the path of the gods, and even if it is far from the garment of clouds, the rain of tears on your face is constantly falling. It seems to be done to destroy the stream of rain in the world. At that time, seeing him staying like that, Indra, the lord of the gods, in order to examine the extraordinary intention of the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita, transformed into the form of a Brahmin boy and sat in front of him, saying, "Son of good family, why are you depressed and tears are flowing from your eyes?" The Bodhisattva said, "I want to sell my body in order to honor the Prajñāpāramitā and the great Bodhisattva Dharmodgata, but no one buys my body, for that reason." Then, the Brahmin boy said to the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita, "The materials for sacrifice and fire offering that come from my knowledge of mantras are searching for human flesh, blood, heart, feet, and bones. If you can give them away, I will give you the price as you wish." At that time, the courage of that excellent man increased like the ocean, and like sweet words filling, his mind became completely joyful. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahāsattva, without hesitation, cut off the flesh from the right thigh of his own body, pierced his body with a sharp weapon, and went to the wall where blood was flowing and bones were being broken. At that time, a merchant's daughter, who had accumulated roots of virtue in the past with many Buddhas, was beautiful in appearance, pleasing to look at, in the prime of youth, with eyes like blue lotuses, and hair of a dark blue color.

A woman with extremely full breasts, like a goddess in a pleasure garden, was on the top floor of her father's house, surrounded by hundreds of maidens, making music and dwelling for her father. By the power of the merit she had cultivated in other lives, her body became extremely beautiful, like a manifest immortal goddess, becoming the nectar of the eyes of sentient beings with attachment. Her face was the adornment of the water treasury, like a pair of eyes, the blue lotuses (Sanskrit: utpala, IAST: utpala, Literal meaning: blue lotus) competing with each other. The circle of her breasts was charming with the burden of her breasts, her waist was full, and the limbs of her half-body were beautiful. Gentle, with a calm mind and subdued senses, she was surrounded by a group of young women, happily playing with the sound of a lute, as melodious as the song of a Gandharva. Urged by the power of her previous roots of virtue, she looked out from a window of the house and saw the Bodhisattva Sadāprarudita engaged in giving his own flesh and blood to the Brahmin boy, so she quickly descended and came. When she arrived, she saw that he had no attachment to his body, as if it were a corpse in a charnel ground. I also have no attachment to my body. Seeing that the Brahmin wanted flesh and blood and was beginning to give it away, that virtuous woman's body and mind trembled greatly, like the moon's reflection in a swaying ocean. Then, that girl saw the Bodhisattva practicing difficult deeds, her body trembling like a tree shaken by a violently moving wind, her eyes filled with tears, and she spoke these words: Who is adorned with the flowers of fresh youth, the expanse of the noble branches is vast and extremely beautiful, possessing a body with leisure and endowments, for what reason is he giving it today to this heartless Brahmin? When she said this, the great Bodhisattva, his face like a lotus in full bloom, with a row of teeth as clear as stamens shining brightly, spoke these words to that virtuous woman: Sister, I am a poor person, seeking virtuous friends and teachings, and in order to obtain offerings, I am giving this body to him. When he had said this, that girl said this: What kind of qualities do you obtain by serving him? Is it the four-faced god or the thousand-eyed one? Is it Shiva or the consort of the goddess of fortune or the five-arrowed god? Is it Vaishravana or the sun or the moon?
