like an ocean. Each prince possesses a hundred thousand kotis of light. The light of the two princes illuminates the entire world. They are the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas Avalokiteśvara and Mahāsthāmaprāpta. Wisdom like an ocean, for the sake of sentient beings like an ocean; courage like an ocean, unflinchingly taking on responsibilities; making vows in the presence of the Buddhas like an ocean; seeking knowledge like an ocean, never satisfied. Thoroughly skilled in all ways of seeking the Dharma, understanding the essence of transcendent speech, never fearing the words of the Dharma, constantly striving to liberate sentient beings. He is the guide, the chief Amitābha, born into the lineage of the supreme Buddha, the great hero who inherits the Buddha's lineage and is renowned, the princes of the pure land. The above is a brief description of the qualities of the Bodhisattva's retinue.
