Or there is Again, through the gates of sinking and scattering, it becomes two. Those sufferings of eating each other, sufferings such as foolishness and delusion, always torment, and there is no opportunity for liberation. Without taking measures to avoid such suffering, but burning the continuums of oneself and others with attachment and hatred, doing various non-virtuous deeds. Abandon it now, Gyalkhampa. The answer to the second question is complete. Let's continue to speak, Gyalkhampa. The causes for experiencing such suffering are, clinging to self and what belongs to self in external and internal dharmas. From self-grasping arise desires and so on, the center of the three poisons of affliction is very stable, possessing the four edges of aging, sickness, birth, and death. The beginning, change, and pervasiveness of suffering, etc., surrounded by the circumference of all sufferings, this is the origin of the wheel of bad karma. The answer to the third question is complete. Having said that, he rejoiced and said: Ema, from now until the essence of enlightenment, taking refuge in the Three Jewels, generating the mind of enlightenment, in a solitary place, practicing the instructions taught by the lama, dedicating the roots of virtue to enlightenment. Ema, afraid of falling into the lower realms. Ema, not knowing when death will come. Ema, not knowing where one will be born. Ema, not knowing if there is freedom from not being born. Kyi hud, the supreme lama! Kyi hud, the yidam like a wish-fulfilling jewel! Kyi hud, the protectors who destroy harm to the teachings! May the self-grasping of myself and beings equal to space, be completely destroyed, and may we obtain permanent protection. May we obtain the ultimate dharmakaya, show the boundless reality to beings, and transform the state. As I have spoken, if there are faults, may the cloud-like faults be completely cleared away by the compassionate swift actions of the noble ones and the wise ones on this shore and the other shore, and may the light of my wisdom be revealed. May the pure virtue obtained from this, be an inexhaustible treasure in this life and in future lives. May the great treasure like a vase, bestow immeasurable qualities upon pure and impure beings. This verse encouraging oneself, called "Words of Weariness from Samsara," was written for others by Gyalkhampa Shar Tsongkhapa Lobsang Drakpa, who takes the dust of the feet of many wise ones upon his head.
