Does. Therefore, you are worthy of praise by the wise. You, with your own teacher's, Qualities and those of other systems, The eye of reason that sees faults, Have perfectly bestowed immaculate wisdom. The faultless system of the Thubpa (Buddha), The practice of establishing doctrines, And the cutting off of evil speech, In places where refutations are made, Faults also, Like qualities, And qualities appearing like faults, The distinction between the real and the apparent, Has also been well shown. Thus, turning away from going astray, Leading to the path pleasing to the wise, The cause of not wasting much learning, For accomplishing that meaning, too, is excellently combined. Therefore, you, for the trainable, Have done all that is appropriate to do. Benefactor, to you, at all times, I prostrate with respect. Like the light of the sun through a window of a high building, Even a small part shining, Completely destroys all the darkness there, And clearly illuminates the places of what to take and leave, Although I have not realized all of your qualities, Even seeing a part of it, my mind, too, Has found the opportunity to contemplate that place, Experiencing the feast of the Thubpa's (Buddha's) excellent teachings. May all beings, the basis of all prosperity, By this slight praise of the glorious Lama, May all beings, Be endowed with the protection of the virtuous friend. Thus, remembering the qualities of the glorious and venerable Lama Kumaramati, who has reached the other shore of the ocean-like tenets of oneself and others, this slight praise is made. This was written by the greatly learned monk Lobsang Drakpa. The scribe was Namkha Palsang, at Lhashol Dewen, another name for Lading Nambar Gyalwai Ling (near Lhasa), the solitary place of the deity of the snow mountain king of the snowy land, Ode Gungyal. The profound path arising from pure empowerment, The two stages of quickly reaching omniscience, He always diligently practices without laziness, I pray to the Dharma Lord Rinpoche. With a loving heart, he cares for disciples like children, With the eye of wisdom, he sees all knowable objects, With supreme diligence, he destroys the opportunity for laziness, I pray to the Dharma Lord Rinpoche. The moment he is seen, tears of faith flow, If he is relied upon for a long time, faith will increase even more, No matter how much he is examined, he is not stained by faults, I pray to the Dharma Lord Rinpoche. Even if the proud prostrate at his feet, He has no pride or arrogance, He is especially loving to the proud, I pray to the Dharma Lord Rinpoche. Protector of beings, in front of you, the Immovable One, Or in the pure land of Amitabha, Wherever you go to a pure land, May we also be born as attendants. The nature of unstealable wisdom and perfectly complete compassion, Dharma Lord Rinpoche.
