To behold the Buddhafields in the realms beyond, may I manifest the immeasurable array of forms. There, having reached the culmination of vast learning, and having satisfied limitless beings with the Dharma, may I swiftly attain the supreme form of the Lord of Speech, the master of all Buddhas. Praise to the Venerable Manjushri, from the Ocean of Praise Clouds that Delight Manjushri, the chapter praising the body, is the first. Like the saffron color opened by a hundred thousand rays of light, appearing in the center of a clear mirror. Graceful in posture, brilliantly radiant like Indra's bow, may Manjushri grant me mastery of speech. The sound that fills all the fields of the ten directions, the endless variety of sounds. Satisfying the minds of all sentient beings, its commanding tone subduing all. Your melodious voice, the mandala of sound, continuous in the cycle of existence. Any pleasant sound that falls upon the ear, steals away old age and death. Speech that is gentle and pleasing, delightful and agreeable. Pure and immaculate, radiant and melodious, sweet and pleasing. Worthy of listening, never tiring, sweet and gentle. Not harsh, not arrogant, exceedingly gentle, pleasing to the ear. Satisfying body, mind, and heart, creating joy and happiness. Without suffering, knowing all, discerning all. Extremely clear, causing joy, manifestly causing delight. Knowing all, and completely understanding. Logical, connected, free from the fault of repetition. Like the majesty of a lion, elephant, dragon, and swift-footed one. Like the song of a Gandharva, Kalavinka, Brahma, and Shangshang bird. The sound of drums, not haughty, not low, all follow. Precise in wording, without omission. Not discouraged, not weak, exceedingly joyful, pervasive and comprehensive. Continuous, connected, making all sounds complete. Satisfying all the senses, not disparaged, never changing. Without deliberation, renowned in the mandala of all retinues. Eliminating the three poisons, destroying the armies of Mara. Possessing all supreme qualities. Thus, the sixty melodies based on four. Even in a single utterance, there is no lack. As far as the extent of space reaches. May it bring happiness to the ears of the fortunate. At that time, it does not appear too large to those nearby, nor too small to those far away. Like crystal meeting various colors, it tames countless beings.

Each in accordance with its own language, From the crown of the head, the urna hair, the throat, and so forth, all parts of your body appear, Although they are very good at showing, But for all of these, this state of ceasing conceptualization, Just as the sky proclaims the Brahma sound, it is difficult to describe. Bound by a beautiful belt like red lightning, Like the deep thunder in the rain clouds. With this praise of Manjushri's speech, May I never be separated from your melodious voice. As soon as the lineage of speech enters the ear canal, It cuts off the fallacies of the fortunate followers and the heretics, With well-composed words that captivate the minds of the wise, May I master all aspects of teaching, debating, and writing. For the languages of different beings, without any hindrance, May I perfectly understand each correct definition, May I easily obtain it and become the supreme one who cuts off the doubts of all beings. As you have instructed, Never transgressing the boundaries of your speech, By practicing with reverence and single-pointedness, May I quickly attain the power of speech. This is the second chapter, praising speech, from the "Praise Cloud Ocean, which pleases Manjushri," a praise to the venerable Manjushri by Je Tsongkhapa. The color of coral mixed with the color of pure gold, The color is beautiful, clearly knowing all that is to be known. Manjushri, the lord of wisdom, is the protector of beings, Supreme protector, please grant me vast wisdom. Being completely intoxicated by the wine of clinging to reality, the intelligence of discerning what to accept and reject is diminished. The poisonous snake of afflictions destroys all the trees of virtue with its trunk-like hand. Being led by the rope of craving, following after the elephant of gain and honor. The great, untamed mind that wanders everywhere in the forest of carelessness. Tightly bound with the rope of mindfulness, awareness, and caution, With the sharp iron hook of correct reasoning, Establish the excellent path of dependent arising, praised by hundreds of millions of noble ones, as a tradition. With the strong force of tireless effort, By repeatedly familiarizing oneself for immeasurable eons, With the vajra of illusion-like samadhi, He made the mountain of clinging to extremes into ashes that only remain in name. Again, the lords of infinite victors, By pleasing them with the supreme ocean of offering clouds, From the stainless throat, with the sound of Brahma's voice, With one intention, he proclaimed the most excellent teachings. Eliminating the hundred diseases of existence.
