I. Without elaboration and without defilement, Possessing a mind equal to space, To you, who are without object, I prostrate and praise. Thus praised. Then, generating joy: Emaho Buddha, emaho Dharma, The teaching of the Dharma is most wondrous, The true meaning is the meaning of purity, I prostrate to the Bodhicitta. This is for the purpose of special declaration. Rejoicing greatly in the well-explained tantra, with a joyful mind, praising: Born from the secret assembly, The totality of all Tathagatas, The lord of all tantras, This tantra has been well-spoken. Great Protector, well done, well done, Great Sage, well done, well done, All Dharmas, great, well done, well done, Great Compassion, well done, well done. Thus it is said. There are some slightly different translations of the last four lines, but here this translation is correct. Remembering the kindness of benefiting by explaining the tantra: Those who seek the fruit of liberation, For the helpless beings, And for us, truly complete, Accomplishing the great meaning of attaining Bodhi. Thus it is said. Then, after offering the torma of the mandala, The teachers visualize themselves as the wrathful ones who are victorious over the three realms, Having three faces of blue, yellow, and green, mouths open and teeth bared, The first two of the six arms holding a vajra and bell, embracing the wisdom mother who is like themselves with the (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) mudra and entering into samadhi, The remaining two right arms holding an iron hook and a lasso, The remaining two left arms holding a skull cup and a khatvanga, Loudly proclaiming the sound of (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), extremely wrathful, The three eyes red and round, With a crown of five skulls, A garland of dripping blood hanging on the neck, Wearing a tiger skin skirt, Blazing with rays of light like the fire of the end of an eon, The right leg extended, stepping on a lotus, on which is pressed the mark of Yamantaka and Kalachakra, From the (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) syllable in the heart, rays of light emanate, inviting the ten wrathful deities, offering them the torma and giving instructions: This place is the direction of the earth, It is where the secret assembly is manifested, The samaya tantra of the great yogi, It will be practiced at all times, Those who constantly accomplish its meaning, For the purpose of protection, Always by the ten wrathful deities such as Yamari, May the phurba subdue all obstacles.
