Regarding 'Seizing': This indicates that it must be given by oneself or another. Regarding 'the robe itself,' the commentary states that the robe is symbolic, and if other implements of a mendicant are seized, it is considered a fundamental offense. Regarding this, the previous statements are that the robe or bowl, whether permissible or conforming to standards, is given by oneself or another, and thus possessing them, these are said to be the four situations. Summarizing the differences: whether body and speech are involved simultaneously or sequentially, it indicates a single downfall. Regarding motivation, starting from a motivation other than stealing, after making a firm decision, the commentary explains the first statement of 'wanting to seize': This transgression is without the intention to steal, but if there is an intention to steal, it will also become a transgression belonging to taking what is not given. As stated, through the word 'also,' it can be inferred that there is one transgression that shares a common basis with taking what is not given, or it needs further examination. What is needed after making a firm decision will be explained below. So, what is seizing without the intention to steal like? That refers to the situation where one only wants to separate it from another, without the thought of taking possession of it. Ultimately, it is said to be the arising of the thought of obtaining. Thus, this contradicts the view that it is impossible for the intention to steal to exist in the motivation, because the possibility of stealing exists here. Therefore, as it is said 'from the body,' it seems that it should be understood as the other person's body being separated, or like peeling it off from its place. Even a subtle difference, as the text says, if the edge of the robe is separated from the body, it will lead to a nissaggiya pacittiya offense. Regarding 'this,' the commentary states that even seizing through words for the benefit of others will become a fundamental offense. Similar to expulsion is: the bhikkhuni, sramaneri, and siksamana, being expelled by the fivefold sangha including monks; the monk and bhikkhuni, being expelled by the threefold sangha including upasika, will constitute a dukkhata offense, which is similar to saying 'non-meritorious deeds' to laymen and laywomen. Among the three types of seizing, in the case of belonging to relinquishment, it is called 'eliminating one's own possession.' 'One's own possession' refers to owning or possessing that thing, and immediately losing ownership is called elimination. Regarding seizing done through bad intelligence, it refers to, with a distracted mind, thinking to temporarily collect the mind, and seizing the Dharma robe etc., this is subsequent seizing, which is a dukkhata offense that conforms to the fundamental offense.

The plundering caused by the reason of the land is: the harm in this life, such as the fear brought by thieves, floods, tigers, etc.; the disadvantage in the next life, such as falling into the hands of bad friends. Regarding the separation of hermits, although there may be cases of being punished for violating the Pratimoksha and the Vibhaga precepts, here, it should be done according to the explanation of the separation of hermits, in order to explain the transgressions related to the summer season in one place. If someone says that there is no such statement in the scriptures, then it needs to be examined. Regarding "one Dharma garment," according to the scriptures and the root commentary, if only one of the three is made, then the former people thought it was the Sanghati, and if the other two are made, then according to the solid explanation, the sign will disappear. During rain, etc., the Sanghati can be placed. Some say that because the scriptures say that the other two cannot be placed. The hermitage and the place with fear are specifically designated, so it seems that there is no certainty of the Sanghati. However, according to the saying of "one," although all three have fear, it seems that two cannot be placed, which needs to be examined. What is allowed is that which meets the standard, has blessings for oneself, and is placed in another place due to fear. A village is a place where hermits can move around. The similarity lies in that separation will not occur. If the village in the area of activity is also accompanied by fear, is it permissible to place it in another village? If it is permissible, then when placing it before, if the place where the Dharma garment is placed and its surroundings, and the surroundings of the hermitage have not exceeded, separation will not occur. If both of them separate after exceeding the time limit, is it certain that separation and transgression will occur? The hermit is allowed to leave the boundary within six days. Why? Because of the reason related to the Dharma. From where to leave? From the place where one lives in another village, let alone the previous village. Beyond six days, separation is not allowed on the seventh day. This is also because of the need related to the Dharma to leave the boundary, and due to obstacles such as thieves, returning on the seventh day, there is no fault in exceeding this time. Some people think that when leaving, thinking of leaving for six days, there is no fault in exceeding the time. If there is no such thought, thinking of leaving for one day or one night, and as a result exceeding six days
