Causing to steal means commissioning someone, saying, "Go and steal it yourself, go and let someone steal it," thus causing them to do it. There is no difference even if the commissioned person commissions someone else to steal. What is being stolen? Or what is being caused to be stolen? And will the commissioner also become the same offense? The answer is: "What is not given." Because even if it is given, it is possible to take it with the mind of stealing, so it must be distinguished. How much is the amount? The answer is: "Masha." With what kind of mind? The answer is: With the mind of stealing. What? Is it not possessed by the continuum of non-humans? The answer is: It is human. Up to this point, combine the first two root texts. For an object possessed by a human, if one steals with the perception of it being possessed by another being, will it become the same offense of stealing? The answer is: Because it is included in what is possessed by the continuum of humans. Thus, the defeat of taking what is not given has five limbs: what is not given, five masha and so on, the mind of stealing, possessed by the continuum of humans, perceiving it as such. If any of the limbs are incomplete, it will only become a reprimand. In the detailed explanation, the nature of the limbs has three aspects, and the general meaning of the nature of the owner has three aspects, namely nature, classification, and determining which is the main meaning. In the first case, some believe that having power over the object, being held by intention, and not being dedicated to others, these three are complete. Some believe that adding that the lineage has not changed, there are four. Others say: If these are merely the nature of the owner, then the first one alone is sufficient, and the rest are meaningless. If it is the nature of the owner who can cause defeat, then it is too extreme for animals and non-humans. Furthermore, the third one does not need to be mentioned, because it is included in the first one. Therefore, it is having power over what is pure and possessing it as one's own. In the second case, the basis of classification is merely the owner. The way of classification is fourfold, through the difference in nature: becoming the owner through intention and action, becoming the owner through the dharma of the place, becoming the owner through lineage, and becoming the owner through the power of the Buddha's teachings. The first case has three aspects: the giver gives and the receiver possesses it as their own, the giver completely gives and becomes the owner, and for ownerless objects, the receiver's intention and action merely possessing it as their own becomes the owner. The second is: Dice

Gam is like a guardian who possesses. The third is like possessing the father's wealth. The fourth has three aspects: offering to the Buddha is complete possession; offering to the Dharma has two aspects: offering to the ultimate Dharma is complete possession, which cannot be used by individuals; for the Dharma that needs to be discerned, there are two aspects: offering to the practice Dharma is the gain of the Sangha, because it exists in their continuum; offering to the teaching Dharma is possessing one verse or more of scripture. Offering to the Sangha has two aspects: the way to become the owner of timely and sudden gains, and the way to become the owner of the gains from the deceased's belongings. The first has two aspects: the way to become the owner of timely gains is that the gains belonging to solid objects can be possessed, and the summer gains that last for a long time can become the owner. There are four kinds of sudden gains: those established by law, those accomplished by boundaries, those determined individually, and those that appear manifestly. That is, how the benefactor or offering place stipulates to possess according to the law, or offering to the Sangha without distinction, those belonging to the same boundary can be possessed, or saying to offer to a certain Sangha or individual, or those that appear manifestly in front of the benefactor, are possessed in order. For the deceased's belongings, who can become the owner has two aspects: the belongings of the deceased who is ordained and has signs, who can become the owner. The first has two aspects: the Sangha possesses and the gains that cannot be possessed. There are five of these: those determined before death, and how much of the debtor's property is waived, "the Sangha's utensils, the patient's utensils, and the gains in the house. The latter two, possessing five dharmas can possess: possessing the precepts that can restore the five categories of vows, death, being consistent in view and conduct and having the same precepts, not being moved from the residence is common, doing the work of a servant, and the damage of the utensils is individual. The remainder is the gain possessed by the Sangha, such as placing scriptures, wearing clothes, and eating grains and other foods as appropriate. For the belongings of the deceased who has signs, the Three Jewels become the owner of jewels and grains, etc., especially.
