It is because it is said to be a grave offense and repeated. Therefore, merely cutting off the hand enters the act of repentance. Many of the grave offenses mentioned here and in the context of subduing, which earlier people thought were established because there was no motivation for classifying offenses, is not the case. There are three situations for setting fire to a forest: knowing there are living beings, suspecting, and the side where there are no living beings. The first situation is divided into two: many and few. Even if one does not think of killing living beings, if one sets fire with the thought that there were many living beings before, it is a grave offense, because one acts without regard for the place of many living beings. Setting fire with the thought that there are few living beings is a misdeed. The side of suspicion is also the same. These are other offenses because there is no intention to kill people and other beings. If that intention exists, it will change like the basis. If one kills people, snails, and other beings, it is a defeat, an offense, and a grave offense. In the third situation, it is said that there is no offense. I think this belongs here. What is expressed by the statement is, saying "teacher" etc., the monk with the intention of killing, to the killer says "come here", saying "go there" and revealing the secret, because it is for concealing that the exhortation is made, it will become a defeat, because the teacher is the nature of exhortation. In order to show the entry of the intention to kill, it also incidentally shows other situations that were not thought of. If one conceals it, it is a grave offense. The mother and the two who dwell in the womb are examples or symbols here. What is called the transformation of mind is like showing other situations without abandoning the intention to kill, because it is knowingly committed. For situations where killing etc. is accomplished without specifically thinking about it, like someone shooting an arrow and dying, in this situation, there is only the fault of shooting the arrow, but there is no fault for the death. What is called the lifetime is when the one being killed and the killer are simultaneous, or die after the next life, it will not become the real basis. What is expressed by the collection is a grave offense etc. For these, even if combined in the scriptures, death occurs only because of that reason, but it is said to be a grave offense, because the intention to kill did not arise, only with the thought of afflictions were those words spoken, because it is the time of examining with anger, so it is another grave offense. What is called broad is "if one kills oneself" etc.

of development. Regarding what should be learned, there are two aspects. Concerning the sick, "sick" refers to situations where the signs of death have already appeared and cannot be reversed. Previously, it was forbidden to care for the sick, but here it is because other situations are also prohibited. When working with hands, such as providing assistance, it should be done after understanding the situation. Although this usually applies to general situations, the word "observation" implies that because there are many things to do, it is difficult to fully understand the situation, so some people say. Regarding working with hands, one should focus entirely on understanding the situation to ensure that no harm is caused to anyone. One should carefully examine and collect items such as stones and wood. Nuns should not use other objects of learning for retaliation, as using weapons, etc., may harm others. Objects of learning should not be used for unskilled people. It is forbidden to raise dogs and engage in debates, some say. Regarding the defeat of speech, there are three situations. In the general sense of distinguishing statements, the object of understanding is: possessing five names, an ordinary body, and three things that are different from the self. What should be understood is: the two paths of human transcendental qualities, possessing merits, and not currently possessing them in oneself. Regarding the meaning of words, there are two aspects. The brief explanation is: perception, etc. The detailed explanation has two parts: the main text and the exclusion, including blame and incidental circumstances. The first situation has three aspects. The first is speaking from the perspective of results. Among them, there are two situations. The actual downfall is: claiming to possess the transcendental qualities of humans, such as "I see," etc., and adding things like talking together. Does merely saying "What did you see?" lead to verbal failure? Or does it need to refer to eleven months? When referring, is it referring to the remaining months? Or is there a difference? "Gods" refers to, because those with divine eyes can see, so through the opposite perspective, it is shown that one possesses the transcendental qualities of humans. Gods refer to Indra, etc., Nagas refer to small dragons such as conch guardians, Yakshas refer to those belonging to the retinue of Vaishravana, residing near Mount Sumeru, Gandharvas are a type of deity, who like music, have comfortable throats, and eat fragrance, and non-humans are: belonging to a type of animal, robbing dwellings, etc.
