It is said that permission without attachment is suitable for non-separation. Furthermore, if even after making the three permissions, one is still related to owning that object, then in that way, one will only fall into transgression. Therefore, if the act of owning arises after making permission, it indicates that the permission will be destroyed. Thus, here, the distinction between what is permissible to own and what is not, and the limit of what is permissible to touch and what is not, should be explained. Regarding jewels, it is not permissible to take them with attachment from one's own nature, except when thinking of taking them for the sake of associating with the Dharma through their fruits. Therefore, when a jewel is given by another, one should not be attached from one's own nature, and one should first remember to accomplish permission through it, and then own it. This is the same for both those who have taken full ordination and those who have not. If done in this way, there is no fault in terms of taking. This is merely owning in the mind, not touching. As for touching, even if a monk's thought is abandoned in that way, it is not permissible to touch without making permission. If permission is made, then touching or allowing to touch is permissible. Therefore, for touching, permission must precede, but not for taking, because "One should take, and having taken, I allow to hold that possession as the basis of the donor himself," and "One should take, and having taken, stand before the monk," because it is said in the sutra that permission should be made after taking. The statement that there is no fault when making permission means that one touches oneself or allows to touch. If it is the former, it contradicts the statement "For what should not be taken, it should be placed in front," because it is sufficient to do it after picking it up. If it is the latter, it is because that is for proving the reason for the absence of transgression that is cited. The former is also included. If this is the same transgression as entrusting and doing it oneself, then if it becomes without fault, the two are not the same, so it seems unreasonable and needs to be examined. According to the literal meaning of the phrase "Let the donor himself believe he is the owner," it seems necessary to have the donor acknowledge it, but because it is said in the sutra that it is explained as the meaning of the previously cited sutra, it seems that, like making distinctions, even if others do not notice, one should assume that it is his. Therefore, in the first two cases, the idea of assuming that it belongs to another is permissible.

It is the basis, and before accepting what arises from it with the thought that it can be accomplished, it is. Ragan and so on are not established as five, they are not established and exist before being completed, dedicated to the doctor for use, and not entrusted to those with equal merit. Jewels are fire-water glass, and magnets become jewels. Silver is grayish-white silver, and gold is called Sale-sbram, those that are not should be examined. And so on includes the relics of the Buddha and so on. Cracking is the appearance of cracks, which can be glued or not. Breaking is the appearance of holes. A fragment is missing one side. Burning is when a jewel comes into contact with fire and becomes unsuitable for trade. Pāna is the damage of only having remnants of color, if it is completely damaged, there is no fault in accepting it. Previously used means that one does not even remember trading for something with color. Not done means that something with color has not been marked. Lacking a mark means being without a mark due to being dragged and so on. Repairing means making the shapes of jewels, copperware, things with color, ornaments, conch shells, etc. from earth, grass, stones, etc. Regarding the use of things with color, in what circumstances does this downfall occur? Because of greed for profit, wanting to gain, this downfall of deception occurs. That is also for the sake of others, the main action is a minor offense, and the preparatory action is cunning for one's own sake. How does the main action arise? It refers to the other person. Those two are endowed with five terms: the body is ordinary, and they are different from the perspective of self and substance, these five. In what circumstances does the use of color become the main action? If it increases, it will fall into the part of increase, if avoided, that is it itself. That is for obtaining the root and increase before and after, if obtained at the same time, then where does the attachment to increase exist? If not, it is said that everything must be abandoned. If one takes possession of the gain, one commits a downfall of abandonment. It is said that the ultimate is the thought of gaining arising from increase, and that and the previous three sutras are the same for the following trade. From what increase does it become the main action? From the use of pāna or jewels. For that pāna or jewel, it can be named, it can be designated, it is autonomous, and it has a size equivalent to the length of a piece of clothing.
