It comes from... For example, the "absence" mentioned here, and the downfall that arises from separating without distinction, can be purified by confessing on the same day. Where is the place of abandonment? Regarding the statement that "coverings are different," it is said in the sutra that "the abodes of monks are different." Moreover, it is said in the treasury that "belonging to the same category," even if the places are different, there is no saying of abandonment if they are in the same place, so it is said that different places are needed. How long is needed? Regarding how long to abandon, not giving the remaining items suitable for begging, as well as touching precious jewels, taking away given items, and the objects of abandonment of hoarding are permanently abandoned, and the others are one by one, some people think so. Although the first and last two need to be permanently abandoned, it is not necessary to do so in order to purify the downfall. It is also not necessary to permanently abandon precious jewels. So the third and fourth are permanently abandoned, and the others are one by one, which seems reasonable. The common point of these three is the same root. Regarding the way in which the three situations of holding, separating, and placing do not occur: on a hard, flat surface, it is impossible for the two situations of holding and placing to occur on a pattern that has never appeared before. Separation is impossible for one's own three dharma robes, but it is not completely impossible, because it is necessary to protect the hard, flat surface and separation. Among the thirty uncommon situations, the situation of holding is "if there is," etc. Regarding the "own" mentioned here, it should not be understood merely as autonomy, but should be understood as autonomy that is restricted by oneself, because it is said in the sutra that "it is also the sangha's." This also applies to situations of personal and common ownership, and needs to be examined. The clothes and sizes are clearly stated in the sutra. However, here it is necessary to cover the three wheels, and the distance from the place of placement to one span also shows one hand gesture. For the former, if it is not holding, placement is impossible, so it is self-measurement or uncommon. For the latter, both situations can change, so it is common measurement or common. Regarding the permissible situation, it is only separation after requesting. If the three situations in which the sutra says it is not permissible to mix two ingredients are taken as the common point of permission, then other situations also require the material to be permissible, and the color and shape also need to be permissible, because it is said in the sutra that "common and monastic objects are permissible," some people say so. In the case of placing and being suitable for begging, because the situation where the material is not permissible is prohibited, it can also be included in this category, even if it is white.

The term "o nyi" refers to something like weaving, where undesirable colors are not needed, and the shape is similar. As for alms bowls, they will be discussed below. It is not permissible for something temporarily without control, like being placed in another's container and unable to be removed. Saying it has control seems reasonable. Some say that even so, it is permissible through dedication, so it is said to have control. To this, if proof is not needed, but proof is required with effort, then the fault of dedicating and transforming what has not been given is committed, and if it has been given, it becomes an obstacle, so it is said to be unreasonable. Unrelated to blessing means not having done blessings such as visualization. Even without blessing, there is the generation of downfall, which is connected with the subsequent. What is the connected blessing here, and the meaning of the subsequent, and the related regulations? For preventing holding by one's own power, any of the three blessings is sufficient, so for the unrelated, any of these three is sufficient. The commentary also says, "For that, visualization and so on." The so-called related, even if the other two cannot overcome, visualization seems to overcome, because if visualization is done, it separates from one's own self, and holding requires not separating from it. The commentary only says, "Blessing is also related to the earth." The commentary also says, "Because of blessing, it separates from one's own self," therefore, if obtained twice, the first time blessed and the second time not blessed, then the trace of the first will not affect the second, which is also a reason, so it needs to be examined. The so-called subsequent connection refers to continuous connection, and its meaning is like "subsequent connection for ten days," or like holding, holding continuously for ten days, or it is holding. Then, if it must be considered that later acquisitions separated by days also have subsequent connection, how is that? The commentary says, "The Dharma garment connected with one's own self subsequently is of two kinds: that which arises from oneself, and that which arises from others." Therefore, even if there is no subsequent connection arising from oneself, there is subsequent connection arising from other garments. The so-called garment arising from others should not be connected with arising from other garments, but should...
