Hearing that stealing the property of one's own monastery is like stealing the property of the gods. Because of the arising of shame and the absence of self-grasping, it is said to be a "coarse offense," but the view of the root commentator is the former. There are three places of downfall, the nature of the coarse offense is pleasing. Some say that this is a coarse offense of incomplete value, and some say that there is no separately established entity, so there is no defeat, and some say that it is an ultimately incomplete coarse offense, and some say that it is not the definition of a coarse offense because there is no stealing mind. However, the commentary's view is that in other cases, it is said that there is no downfall if there is no stealing mind, but here it is to show the coarse offense of not giving, so there is a stealing mind, and the coarse offense is caused by the incompleteness of the object, although it is not said here, it has already been established before. Therefore, even if the object is complete, there is no defeat, because it is taken by the power of false discrimination. Therefore, it is a coarse offense, and it is the coarse offense of the main action, just like the preparation. Because it is said so. Therefore, it seems reasonable to say that the nature of the stealing mind is not complete because there is never a complete intention to separate. Also, "discrimination." There are two types, the first is: Some people think that in the debate, by degrading the other party to eliminate the opportunity for the other party's words, and then answer, this will become the main action. The second is: Some people think that at the time of discrimination, due to the thought, the idea of being one's own will arise, but because this is related to the doubt of the form of sin, so for this situation, it will become the form of the main action, but it will not become the main action, for example: thinking "This is mine," or thinking "It is not completely occupied," or thinking "Devadatta and others gave it to me," or discriminating like this, because this discrimination is related to the sin of the idea of others completely occupying it, so it is the form of the main action. For the object of this sutra, for this object, like recognition, there is no hesitation, because it is the reason for having an object like "anything is fine." After determining that "this is sinful," they will still do it, therefore, the commentary says that it is only another object.

One should seek its meaning. "Designated" means that whatever is good or bad is considered stealing. When thinking like this, the designated object has a real basic form, which is coarse. This indicates that the coarseness shown for stealing in other situations will become another different coarseness. Even if the "designated" is separated or not separated, it is coarse. Therefore, there is one coarseness in designation, and when hiding for stealing after designation, it becomes another second coarseness. The place of downfall is "decoration" and so on. Hesitation means deciding not to give. When does stealing occur? Or, when hesitating to give, being of two minds, even if moved from the original place and the items are complete, it is coarse, not defeat, because it cannot be determined as stealing. So it is said. There are two types of designation: the owner does not know, and the attendant hides it himself, which has been explained before; the attendant is present, and the owner hides it himself, merely hesitating is not considered stealing, moving it from the original place is considered stealing, therefore it is called "designation." "Other" means hesitating before and denying later, then that hesitation, because of denial, is interrupted, hesitation is the application, the coarseness of the real basic form. Denying before and hesitating later, because hesitation is interrupted, it is called application, which is not a misdeed, because the scripture cited as the basis here says it is coarse. The distinction of various limbs is "male" and so on, which has been explained before. The final situation is "forcible seizure" and so on. Forcible seizure means stealing by force. Repudiation means taking things and not giving them. Here the scripture says: There are many kinds of stealing by monks, six kinds of close attendants, namely stealing by force, stealing by deception, stealing by hiding, stealing by returning, stealing by repudiation, and stealing of Dharma. When the monk, the Blessed One, taught these six kinds of stealing, which of them would lead to the downfall of the edge? Close attendants, except for stealing of Dharma, all others will lead to the downfall of the edge. So it is said. Among them, stealing of Dharma means holding the Sutra Pitaka and other Dharmas, because there is no intention to steal, there is no downfall.
