Land also cannot be taken like goods, because it will become the sin of taking without giving. As it is said, therefore, there is no need to measure living expenses and so on. Changing the statement and ending the dispute, etc., if done in this way, it is equivalent to not having the measurement of local customs. Taking for the sake of parents and the Three Jewels, if you want to praise, say giving, this is not forced measurement, but to avoid disputes. Third, in the Vibhajyavāda it is said to protect, rescue, hide, and completely fill according to the Dharma, that is, from the army of other kings, one's own, the fear within merchants, and to completely sever kinship in order. Fourth, in the Vinaya, although it is not said how much to measure, combining with local customs, taking five percent of the goods is the best. Fifth, if other limbs are complete, then defeat, if incomplete, then coarse, etc. Sixth, there is no stealing mind. Seventh, according to the scripture. Eighth, for renunciants, it is necessary to measure the difference in boat fares. The meaning of the words is, without stealing mind, that is, for a bhikkhu, if it is not allowed to exempt from measurement, because there is no stealing mind, so one's own property needs to be measured, crossing the position of measurement from the hands of others; if it is allowed to exempt from measurement, because there is no stealing mind, so the property of others needs to be measured, crossing from one's own measurement position, there is no fault belonging to taking without giving. Among them, first, a bhikkhu entrusted under valuation will not fall, the way not to fall is, the bhikkhu thinks like this: these merchants are people who acquire the minds of measurers. Thinking like this, there is no stealing mind, otherwise it is not. Second, a bhikkhu repeating the measurement of others will not fall, that is to say, for one's own and others' property, if one does not know the difference between allowing and not allowing measurement, one will not fall, if one knows, then it is only karma. These are all summarized by "without stealing mind", the first part of this sutra explains the meaning of the words allowing non-falling in the Vibhaja. Now, in order to cross the vessel that needs to be measured from the measurement position, it will be shown what to measure.
