The thought arises, "This object is not owned by anyone, and I can control it." If the ultimate time is fixed at that time, then the explanation of the ultimate distinctions such as "at the time of stealing" will become meaningless. Because, if the previous thought arises, even if it is not considered a burden, it possesses the ultimate condition; if it does not arise, even if it is considered a burden, it cannot achieve the ultimate condition. Furthermore, the scriptures indicate the boundaries of objects through being considered a burden, etc., but do not indicate the boundaries of the arising of the thought of autonomy. Therefore, it is unreasonable to fix the ultimate time at that time. If someone argues against the previous dispute, saying that the ultimate mentioned in the scriptures is not certain, but in most cases, it is considered so. Although this is the answer, here, in the first place, before being considered a burden, the thought of having obtained it arises, and when it is considered, it does not arise. But this is not referring to this situation. However, like clothes scattered by the wind, if the stealing monk hesitates, thinking, "If I can collect this object and make it a burden, I will definitely get it, but not before that." This is said in reference to this situation. The commentary also says: Generally, wanting to exclude the action that has been done, therefore, "after doing" means thinking that after doing it, one can endure stealing. And "after collecting" means thinking that one can steal only after collecting, etc. Therefore, the latter dispute is also unreasonable. The ṭīkā says: When the wind scatters clothes, etc., or other objects are scattered, the monk considers them a burden and collects them with the intention of stealing. Like this, even if one moves clothes, etc., with a value standard of five māṣakas, etc., before they are considered a burden, one will not fail because of it. Because at that time, he has the thought of collecting, but not the thought of stealing. The scripture here is: For example, if the clothes spread out by a washerman are blown away by the wind, as long as that monk does not take possession of them and does not touch them, he will commit a minor offense. Taking possession, touching, collecting clothes, rolling them into a bundle, as long as it is from one place to another

If it is said to "place," picking up scattered clothes, holding flowers and fruits and placing them in their original place, this is called stealing, and the value should be estimated. In the same way, the doubts are also justly cut off below. The doubt is in the scriptures, it says: "Without a clear indication of load and accumulation, hiding from one place to another," picking up scattered clothes, when holding flowers and fruits, because the position has been moved, is it the time to estimate the value? In order to cut off this doubt, the commentary says: "Even if moving from one place to another, it will not fail, because there is no thought of stealing at that time." This sentence implies that at the time of failure, it is admitted that there is a thought of stealing, so in the end it depends on the thought, which is obvious. Moreover, as said before, this depends on the ultimate thought of stealing, which is different from the thought of obtaining. In the first two scriptures, it is said that the thought of stealing is needed at the ultimate time, which also applies to other situations, because there is no reason to distinguish. Regarding the word "pervading," the basis of the doubt that should be cut off is the scripture saying: "If it exceeds the boundary," but it does not say "the boundary outside the pervading of matter," so is it the boundary of the pervading of matter? This is what the previous people said. Regarding the word "its characteristics," because the two boundaries are clear, the boundaries that are cut off are: the carved ones, and, walls and, rivers, whatever separates, are recognized by the world. Another is: completely imperceptible behavior, whose nature is not known to the world. Its characteristics are: being as hard as soil and making a sound is a hard sound. Breaking in one direction is cracking. What is written on it is writing. From one color to different colors is another color. Door latches and, railings, etc. are intervals. Field ridges that are turned over, etc. are obstacles, the two sides of the field ridge do not belong to it, because they exist in the middle of the two ground parts from those two sides, so it is a boundary. If the carved one breaks at the edge and surface, then it should be said to be a whole. If it is not so, if it is separated there by soil or, fence or, railing, then it should be said to be different parts. Of living beings
