If there are many things to be done, they can be done in turns, or if one person is willing to do everything, it is okay if others do not, as stated in the Vinaya Minor Matters. Furthermore, if both the residence and the resident are in the same monastery, then one should go to the teacher three times a day; if the residence teacher lives in the monastery and is separated by one remote call (a unit of distance), then go once a day; if separated by five remote calls, then go once every five or six days; if separated by three and a half measures, then go to visit once during the Uposatha. It is wrong to use this for requesting to do things, because the Extensive Commentary also explains it as going for the sake of seeing, and in the Minor Matters, the close associates are thoroughly cleared, and those who have taken the Bhikshu vows should rely on him and stay there until they know that it is bad conduct, and when they know, they should rely on other residences, however, the command of the Blessed One says that one should go to visit three times a day. As soon as you see the Khenpo and the residence teacher standing up, you should stand up from your seat and serve with respect, and you should sit close by, do not argue with the teacher, and do not sit too close. One should be strict with the teacher's affairs, be respectful, and engage with beautiful behavior. Second, how to handle emergencies: the residence teacher's bowl and robe matters, and taking care of the sick, eliminating his regrets and the arising of sins, etc., do it yourself or have others do it; if the Sangha forces the residence teacher, then say to the Sangha, please do not force, and then strive to free the teacher from the cause of the force; if it has already been forced, then have him ask for forgiveness; if the residence teacher needs to be relocated or expelled, etc., then pray to the Sangha. If the teacher is doing wrong, then stop him; if your own good deeds do not increase in his presence, then pray to entrust it to another residence. If the teacher is sewing clothes and cleaning the monastery without being appointed by the Sangha, then do it yourself; for the sake of the teacher and the Sangha, do suitable things such as fruits; and clear small plants from stupas and other places, pick flowers and fruits, prepare tooth sticks, etc.

A novice monk should be appointed. Second, regarding how to accomplish through the resident, there are two ways: to accomplish through the method of following, and to accomplish through the method of punishment. The first is that the resident's guru should not keep in his retinue those who have defects in lineage and body, and who have already taken ordination and full ordination, and should not closely keep more than one resident novice monk. If two people want to ordain and do not want to ordain separately, then they should be ordained together, and the elder should be fully ordained, and even if he is not twenty years old, he should be entrusted to another bhikkhu for the purpose of residing in the "Reshika" place, and that bhikkhu should also entrust him to the Khenpo when he is old enough. If he is not entrusted, then the Khenpo should summon him with power and give him full ordination, and for the resident who has become his retinue, he should regard him as his own son with compassion, and for all the service and respect, he should not harm the resident through moderate wisdom, and the work of the bowl and robes that the resident cannot do himself, and the care when he is sick and Matters such as bowel movements should be treated in the same way as the guru, and in order for the resident to increase his merits, if he asks to be entrusted to others, then he should be entrusted after clearly understanding the duties of the resident. If the resident relies on bad friends, then he should be dissuaded and guided to goodness, and the merit should be accomplished through Dharma and wealth, he should be made to repent, and he should strive to obtain the necessities of life that are free from faults and pure. Second, regarding how to accomplish through the method of punishment, there are five aspects: in what place, relying on what, at what time, with what punishment to punish, and how to accomplish through punishment. First, for any of the five types of people who are unbelievers, lazy people, those who cannot tolerate words, those who are dissatisfied, those who are disrespectful, and those who make bad friends, punishment should be carried out, and those who are not suitable should not be punished. Second, what is relied upon is the resident's guru who does not have the cause of being punished himself. Third, the time is other than the summer season. Fourth, one should not talk to the resident, one should not give teachings, one should not take possession of service and respect, one should not redistribute Dharma and wealth, and one should cut off all the good deeds that have been done before.
