These are the transgressions of offenses. The measure of whether something is raw or not is: for hard foods such as dried meat, it is considered cooked when it is one-third boiled; for soft foods such as leaves, it is considered cooked when the color changes; for liquids such as milk, it is considered cooked when it has been boiled twice. Third, the transgressions regarding what should be learned are: not removing unsuitable or mixed parts of food; not removing dirt and grime from food touched by the beaks of crows, etc.; eating without washing the mouth; not immediately placing nearby items that may fall due to negligence or forgetfulness; discarding items that have fallen, etc., and require reliance on others to retrieve; knowingly taking ownerless items that have been discarded; when circumstances require touching boats and vehicles, touching the helmsman, oars, and the seat of the oar handle; touching boats and vehicles carrying food without reason; not preventing the waste of monastic medicine when it is spilled; touching things when one could initially split wood, etc.; when there are no monks, etc., carrying provisions, not seeking donors, etc., to carry provisions; eating one's own carried provisions without exchanging them with those who have not taken full ordination; when one must eat food taken as provisions without giving and receiving, not restricting food on the first day; on the following two days, eating no more than a handful with the palm facing down or an equal amount; when one must eat unsuitable food such as unreceived or untimely food, not eating without generating the thought of possession, as if it were an unpleasant sound, even though one has washed one's hands and has leaves, etc., and drinking water with a water container; if not, drinking without covering; and if the water container has water, not leaving it uncovered. Second, the downfall of transgressing the ritual of giving and receiving has four parts, of which the fundamental branch is: the object to be eaten is food that can be swallowed from a tooth-stick upwards, and has a quantity that is clearly swallowable to the throat. It has not been given and received by oneself or someone similar to oneself. The place is other than an unpleasant place. The basis is not a patient who benefits from it. The time is not a time of famine. In terms of intention, the thought is that not giving and receiving is not giving and receiving.

Thinking or doubting that one is eating. Wanting to eat, starting the act of eating, and finally swallowing into the throat. It is an offense to eat after having received a gift, but thinking that one has not received it, or with any kind of doubt. The way to receive a gift is: not from a high place, but from directly in front, with coarse objects etc. as intermediaries, the offering of the lay follower is not complete, or similar people can lift the food upwards, and from the depths of their hearts wanting to give, they hand it over with their hand or related objects. The receiver extends both hands and receives it with their body or related containers etc. When people of bad caste etc. hand over a gift, they draw a mandala in front and have them place it. When monkeys hand it over from the trees, the act of receiving a gift also occurs. The reasons for the destruction of a gift are: being robbed by others, falling from a high place to a place where it cannot be taken, being touched by a lay follower without being taken by a monk, being prepared for a lay follower, the support being no longer a monk, yogurt turning into butter etc. the essence of the medicine changing, the name changing etc. the birth changing, and discarding it in other places. Regarding the reasons for the destruction of a gift, the 'Separation' succinctly summarizes: 'Robbery, falling, touching, preparation, non-monk, essence change, birth change, discarding causes the destruction of the gift.' This is what is meant. The faults of what should be learned are: the residents not checking fruits etc., not rejoicing in equal distribution, not covering clothes with leaves etc. when distributing ghee etc., the items to be distributed not being distributed separately according to good, bad, and medium, the share of the distributor, one's own Khenpo and Acharya, not being taken even though it should be obtained in the monastic ranks, and if it cannot be obtained, not being taken while sitting nearby, and those taken by the Khenpo and Acharya. Fifth, regarding the downfall of begging for benefits, from four aspects, the basic branch is, the object to be begged is a householder who does not possess the five qualities, not someone who forces as they please. The object to be eaten is a medicine that is lawful and meets the standards, which is called a benefit in that place and time, and belongs to the benefactor himself. The support is not a sick person. There is no mistaken cognition in thought, and the motivation is for oneself.
