When laying grass in a resting place, check for creatures every day in damp places, and every half month in other places, and do not reverse it. When engaging in resting activities, do not discard what should be discarded. The teachings related to alms-begging are all explained in the chapter on basic dwellings. Fourth, harming individuals is divided into two types. The first is the downfall of expulsion, which is divided into four parts. The component of the basis is that the object of expulsion is a bhikshu who does not possess the six qualities and does not possess beneficial conditions. The place of expulsion is the same as before, except for the danger of benefit and harm. In terms of intention, the cognition is not confused, and the motivation is to want to expel. In terms of action, one either expels oneself or assigns someone else to expel. Ultimately, because of this reason, one leaves the place, including the vicinity of the dwelling. Expelling with laughter, and expelling those who have not taken full ordination, are both misdeeds. The second is the downfall of subsequent suppression, which is divided into four parts. The component of the basis is that the object and place of subsequent suppression are the same as before, except that the object is added with "arrived before oneself." In terms of intention, the cognition is that for those who arrived before oneself, one is certain that it is that person or one is hesitant. In terms of motivation, one wants to suppress afterwards, except for reasons of illness and fear. In terms of action, one attempts to stay in that place even though others do not want to. Ultimately, one completes staying or understands the meaning. From this, it can be inferred that "evil and killing, and cold and heat, copper utensils and washing medicine, yoga correspondence and recitation correspondence, accompanied by fear and without fear," for these arrogant people, also combine according to the previous components, and one should know that it will become a downfall. For that place, knowing that someone who did not enter before oneself has entered, or being hesitant, are both misdeeds. Fifth, harming the actual place, the root cause is growth, the downfall of sitting, which is divided into four parts. The component of the basis is that the place is the place of the sangha, capable of accommodating the four modes of conduct, the nature of the place has been established, and it is the upper roof with the danger of collapse. The object is a bed or small bed, large enough to cover three spokes, the root looks like a stake, and it is not inserted with a stake or footrest. In terms of intention, the cognition is that for the occasion including the root growth, one is certain that it is that or one is hesitant.

Eating earth. The motivation is to want to suppress. The action is to begin suppressing. The ultimate is to complete the dwelling. If one knows that there is no danger of a roof collapsing, but thinks there is, and hesitates, then dwelling is a fault. Sixth, harming the lives of others, the downfall of trampling on animals, the basis of the four is that it is an animal. It is visible to the ordinary eye. It has a basis. The thought is to definitely think that a living being is a living being, or to hesitate. The motivation is not to use it for one's own benefit. The action is to begin using it oneself or by someone else. The ultimate is the death of the animal. If one definitely thinks that a non-living being is a living being, or hesitates and uses it, then it is a fault. Third, arising from building a dwelling, the downfall of building excessively, the basis of the four is that the place being built is a temple. It can accommodate four activities. It is mostly built as a surrounding place. Previously, no attempt was made to harm the dimensions. The time is one day. No covering was made to protect from rain. The thought is without confusion, and the motivation is to want to build more than three stories, and it is continuous. The action is to begin building oneself or by someone else, with stones or bricks, or by cutting down trees or other non-solid materials, and the ultimate is to build more than three stories. This refers to the downfall of building excessively in one day. If there is no mud, the upper part is not installed, no water holes are dug, and building begins without laying the foundation, then even if building exceeds the floor on other days, it will become a downfall. Even if water holes are dug, etc., if building exceeds the floor on top of that, it will also become a downfall. There is no fault in building the third floor, and it is a fault to begin building the fourth floor. Not installing the doors and windows of the temple, and not opening windows, etc., are all faults of learning. Third, for those who should be benefited, the evil accomplishment on the basis of a Bhikshuni, the first of the five is arising from the basis of the Dharma, the first of which is teaching the Dharma without being appointed, which is a downfall, the basis of the four is that the object of teaching is a Bhikshuni who is not a relative and possesses the seven Dharmas.
