It should be sanctioned in a way that is in accordance with the Dharma. Regarding the way to protect without loss, there are two ways: the way to protect from the faults arising from discrimination, and the way to protect from the faults arising from the remaining basis. The first is the first of the five categories of transgressions, the first of the four categories of Pārājika, the first is the identification of the transgression of unchaste conduct, and the way to protect the mind from it. The first includes the classification of transgressions and what should be learned. The first of the four is the first branch of the basis, including the object of diligence and what the basis of diligence. The first includes the three paths and the two bodies in which they reside. The first refers to the direction of the mouth, the excretory path, and the female excretory organ, up to the first part that has not been damaged by diseases, etc. The body in which it resides is a complete body, or the upper or lower part of the body is complete and can be relied upon, that is, the body of the dead and the living, human and non-human, male and female, hermaphrodite, and the wound of one's own and another's body, whichever is similar to Pārājika. The basis of diligence is that it is a jewel, connected to one's own continuum, can be used as an object of action, and is free from disease. There are two kinds of intention, the same as whether the perception is mistaken or not, and the motivation is the touch of the path and the limbs combined, wanting to take possession of it, and continuing without interruption. The application is to strive in that way according to what is thought. The ultimate limb is the touch of entry, which is felt by the body's consciousness and possessed by the mind's consciousness. Here, if a bhikṣu and a bhikṣuṇī, a śikṣamāṇā and a śrāmaṇera, and a śrāmaṇerikā take the touch of the male organ as an object and take possession of it, then they will commit Pārājika and offenses similar to Pārājika. The order of generating transgressions is: after that motivation arises, if it does not appear in body and speech, it should be restrained, and if it appears, except for Pārājika, it should be confessed. That is, from the time of starting to go for sexual intercourse until the path and limbs do not meet is a minor offense, and from the time of meeting until not exceeding the first limit is a major offense. However, promising to engage in sexual intercourse oneself, or persuading others, is a major offense from that point on. Even if diligence is done with the intention of sexual intercourse, but for the holes in the body that are different from the image of the three paths, and the containers such as excretory organs, acting in a way that is considered a path
