Again, it should be received. The term "twice" does not mean only twice, but in relation to the initial reception, it is called "twice" when it is received again later. Thus it is said. If a fault of medium degree occurs, then one should confess the offense to three or more people, sitting in front of them, first stating the actual object of the transgression, and then saying: "Venerable ones, please listen. I, named so-and-so, from the basis of what has been said, have committed a transgression that is contrary to the discipline of a Bodhisattva." Having said this, the rest should be stated as a Bhikshu confesses his offenses. There, after "the offense of transgression," state the name of the transgression that occurred, for example: "I have committed self-praise or slander of others, etc." The remaining words are from the old commentary: "I confess and admit to the venerable ones, I do not conceal it. By confessing and admitting, I will live in peace, but if I do not admit and do not confess, I will not live in peace." If asked, "Do you see these as faults?" then one should answer, "I do." If asked, "Will you keep them in the future?" then one should, according to the Dharma and the discipline, very respectfully accept it with the crown of the head. Thus, one should state it two or three times. Thus it is said. The new commentary says: "Knowing, seeing, and remembering, one should, according to the Dharma and the discipline, very respectfully accept it with the crown of the head." At that time, how the bodily conduct should be performed is also from there: "To them, one should prostrate with folded hands, sit squatting in a lower place, with folded hands." In other commentaries, in response to the question of whether to keep them, only "I will keep them well" is said. With minor offenses, such as the occurrence of a Dharma like a place of defeat, and other offenses besides that, one should confess in front of one person, the ritual being as before. If there is no suitable person to confess to, one should resolve not to do it in the future, and one will also keep them in the future. By acting in this way, it is called being freed from that offense. This is blessed by Jinasutra and others.

It is not the intention to show that there is no fault. These are also stated in the Twenty Disciplines: One should take the vows again. Medium lapses should be confessed to three people. The remaining ones should be confessed in front of one person, like afflictions and non-afflictions, like one's own mind. This is said in summary. The meaning of the last line is: If there are faults with afflictions and without afflictions, if there is no agreeable person, then in one's own mind, with shame, knowing disgrace, taming, pacifying, and the thought of not doing it again, one should confess by controlling oneself. Just like that, one should also confess in front of one person. By showing the example of "like one's own mind," it also shows another method of remedying faults. Master Shantarakshita said this, and by quoting "if there is no agreeable person" etc. as evidence, he considered that this method also applies to minor and medium lapses. To this, Master Bodhisattva-bhadra considered that the methods of rectifying minor and medium downfalls and other faults are completely different, because for the two, minor and medium, even if one cannot find three or one person in that place, one must search elsewhere, but for faults, even if one cannot find one person in that place, one does not need to search elsewhere, because it is uncertain to recover by restraining one's own mind, while the former two are certain. If it were not so, then it would be unreasonable to specifically state "to three people" and "in front of one person" separately. If confessing to fewer than three people does not purify, then how could there be an opportunity for purification through restraint? Because the Bodhisattva-bhumi does not say "like one's own mind." Therefore, reciting it that way is wrong. Therefore, one should recite "afflictions and non-afflictions, in one's own mind." The Bodhisattva-bhumi also says that for medium and minor downfalls, one should confess in front of three or one person, and for other downfalls, if there is no agreeable person, one should restrain with the mind. This seems to be refuting the view of the old commentary. I do not think this is reasonable, because the Bodhisattva-bhumi says: If a dharma like a place of defeat caused by minor entanglements occurs, and other faults besides that, One should know to confess in front of one person. If there is no agreeable person to confess to, the Bodhisattva should vow from the bottom of his heart not to do it again from now on, and should also restrain himself from now on. By doing so, that fault
