Now, it is not necessary to have all four, any one will do. As for "uninterrupted," some Tibetans think that doing it more than twice is enough, while others think that it must have the three complete stages of preparation, main action, and conclusion, but no commentary has ever mentioned this, and it is not reasonable in practice, so it should be discarded. Therefore, as long as one has committed any of those actions that lead to defeat, and still wants to do it again and again, that is the meaning of the previous action being uninterrupted. As the new commentary says, "Strong afflictions cause defilements to flow out, and one continuously engages in them without interruption, without even generating a small amount of shame and embarrassment." As the Mudra commentary also says, "For those four or any one of the four, one wants to engage in them again and again." As it is said (in the above quote). Haiyun and Jinasutra believe that if dharmas like the places of defeat are continuously practiced without interruption, then shame and embarrassment will be completely lost, so it is said "even a small amount of," etc. Therefore, continuous practice shows that it is the cause of the loss of shame and embarrassment, and its meaning is the same as the previous two. Some commentaries think that it refers to not exceeding a period of time, which will be discussed below. The second branch is from "shame" to "not arising." Among them, shame and embarrassment, as stated in the Bodhisattva-bhumi, "When a bodhisattva continuously engages in misdeeds, knowing that it is not his own part, and refrains from it, this is shame. For the same misdeed, restraining oneself out of fear and respect for others is embarrassment." The object of these two is the commission of evil deeds. The state is to feel ashamed. The difference is that thinking that this is not one's own part, and feeling ashamed for one's own reasons, this is shame; thinking that it is not good to be scolded by others, and feeling ashamed for the sake of others, this is embarrassment. These two, let alone large or medium, do not arise even a little, and the basis for not arising is participation in the evil deeds that lead to defeat. Since it is said that both of these do not arise in defeat, even if a little of either shame or embarrassment arises, it will not constitute defeat. So, when is the time when these two arise and do not arise? It is the time of defeat.

After engaging in the misconduct of adultery, immediately within a short period of time, it is explained that there should be no desire. The third branch is: from "he is satisfied" to "joyful." Regarding this, Haiyun and Jinasutra said that shamelessness also makes one satisfied, that is, the misconduct for which one does not feel ashamed makes one satisfied, or shamelessness and lack of shame cause satisfaction in the action. Samudra explained: Shamelessness and lack of shame themselves make one happy and joyful. It is not enough to simply not feel ashamed of engaging in adultery; there needs to be an action that satisfies one's own mind. Joy refers to not abandoning the continuous practice of adultery, which is what both Haiyun and Jinasutra said. These are all based on the previous ones, and if the latter is incomplete, it will be added, because the branches of the Great Perfection are incomplete. If there is no non-abandonment, it will become abandonment, and if one abandons, shame will arise, so the second branch will also be incomplete. Non-abandonment is not done because one does not see the faults. So what is it? To this, the teacher Yönten Öd said: Satisfaction means generating joy from the depths of one's heart, and joy means existing through union. Therefore, satisfaction means feeling joy in adultery, and joy means merely feeling joy in the act of completing adultery. Is this understanding consistent? If one continuously engages in adultery, then later there will be a desire to engage in it, is this repetitive? It is not repetitive, because the desire for it and the joy in it are two different mental factors. The fourth branch is: seeing it as a virtue, that is, Haiyun and Jinasutra explained that it means not seeing the action as a fault. If one sees it as a fault, then how will the non-arising of shame and the joy in it, etc., come about? It is not contradictory, because seeing it as a fault is the cause of shame and embarrassment, but not the essence, and even if one sees the fault, one still enters because of joy, just like entering into lawful adultery. Apart from exchanging the explanations of joy and satisfaction, Samudra is also consistent with the previous one. The teacher Yönten Öd said, regarding dharmas like the place of defeat
