The state of mind that is oppressed and lacks the power of endurance is called a harmful state of mind. The state of mind that is fond of talking and has obstacles is called an obstructed state of mind. It is said. When these states of mind arise, is there a fault in accepting or not accepting them? Or is there no fault? It is said in that very text: A Bodhisattva should examine these six states of mind separately in this way. He should examine separately: Does any of these six states of mind strongly exist in my mind, or does it not exist? Therefore, a Bodhisattva should not accept the arising of the first three states of mind. If he accepts them and does not abandon them, then everything will be faulty. When the state of mind that is completely weary due to diligence arises, if he thinks like this: This state of mind will abandon the practice of virtuous dharmas, and in any case, it will make the body and mind tired and afflicted, so he should separately eliminate it and practice virtuous dharmas again. If he thinks like this, there will be no fault. If he thinks like this: Why should I use this way of practicing virtuous dharmas, which will make me suffer in this life? If he completely abandons everything, then that will be faulty. Once a harmful state of mind exists, a Bodhisattva cannot freely engage in virtuous actions, so even if he accepts it, there is no fault. Once an obstructed state of mind exists, if he cannot do as he pleases, or if he truly sees a very important meaning and accepts it, then there is no fault. If he can do as he pleases, or if he truly sees something meaningless or of very little meaning and accepts it, then there will be a fault. Among these six states of mind, the arising and acceptance of the first three states of mind will all be completely faulty. Only a harmful state of mind, even if accepted, has no fault. The arising and acceptance of the remaining two states of mind are conditional faults and no faults.

"There will be no loss." This is what the Buddha said. When engaging in benefiting sentient beings, it is necessary to examine six aspects. In the Compendium, it says: "A Bodhisattva who is diligent in the discipline of benefiting sentient beings should separately examine six aspects of discernment, namely oneself and others, as well as material poverty and material wealth, Dharma poverty and Dharma wealth, these are the six aspects." Among them, so-called material poverty refers to not obtaining Dharma robes and alms, etc., or being unable to obtain them, or having obtained them but they will be interrupted. Material wealth should be understood as the opposite of this. So-called Dharma poverty refers to the decline of discipline, and the words of the profound Dharma spoken by the Tathagata, those not previously heard cannot be heard, those not previously heard cannot be contemplated as they are, obstacles to hearing and obstacles to contemplation, forgetting hearing and contemplation, and not obtaining the merits arising from meditation, being unable to obtain them, or completely losing what has been obtained. Dharma wealth should be understood as the opposite of this. It is said that oneself and others are the basis of Dharma and material wealth and decline. After examining the six aspects, how to engage and disengage, and whether doing so will cause faults, is also stated in the same scripture: "A Bodhisattva should not strive to make others materially wealthy if it causes oneself to be Dharma-poor. Similarly, one should also strive to make oneself Dharma-wealthy in order to make others materially wealthy. In this context, so-called Dharma poverty should be understood as being included in the decline of discipline, as well as being included in what is in accordance with the decline of discipline, and as being included in the complete loss of the Dharma to be obtained. If one is materially poor, one should strive to make others materially wealthy, but only if this material wealth does not cause Dharma poverty. If it causes Dharma poverty, then one should not strive. Similarly, one should also strive to make oneself Dharma-wealthy in order to make others materially wealthy. If one is materially wealthy, one should also strive to make others materially wealthy."
