Having lifted upwards, entering and emerging, one will not violate the samaya. Thus it is said. Mentioning the vajra pattern and the vajra thread is also a close characteristic. Therefore, it should be regarded as including other things that should not be crossed, such as mandalas. This is the mind vajra mudra, and its mantra is this: Vajra Vega Akrama. Thus. In the second condensed part of that itself, it says: Among them, the essence of vajra force is this: Om Vajra Vega Trama Hum. Similarly, for all mandalas such as the vajra realm mandala, one should also cross the thread and go everywhere. Then the essence of this is explained. Having lifted the pattern in the mind, whether it is a vajra thread or something else, even if one comes out and enters, one will not violate the samaya. Thus it appears. The pattern is a color pattern, and the vajra thread is a thread of five colors, and lifting is thinking in the mind of entering from under those, as Kunsing said. And since it is said "or something else," those are only symbolic. Thus, one should recite that mantra in the mouth and think in the mind of lifting the base on which one is going to cross and entering from under that. In that way, because of the fear of breaking the samaya, the way to go without fault is spoken of, so one must also strive to guard against even the slightest faults, as it says in the Supreme Tantra: Then take the vows of knowledge, and do not abandon the vows, and even for the slightest fault, one should feel regret. Because it is said thus. The third is the summary of the meaning: These are said to be samayas, you should always protect them. Thus it is said. This should be applied to all that was said before, starting with the proclamation of the common samayas, because the samayas of each of the five families have the meaning of two lines. Then the extensive subsequent vows are extensively explained in the secret tantras. It means that the vows similar to those mentioned before, that is, the extensive places of learning, are extensively explained in all the tantras, in order to dispel the thought of whether it is only those that are directly spoken of. Those were proclaimed in order to know the samayas that should be promised, and then protect those.

According to my (the author's) intention, what will be explained below is how to uphold the vows through the ritual of taking vows, in short, it is about receiving vows. Do not hold them in a vague state, but hold them after clarifying the goal. In some rituals, there is no scripture for proclaiming the vows, so there, the guru should also convey the general meaning of taking vows to the disciple, and then let him hold them. Those scriptures that proclaim the vows are collected in the Vajrasekhara Sutra, and are quoted here. Second, explaining the taking of vows: This ritual of taking vows comes from the fourth section of the third chapter of the Sambhuta, and the twelfth chapter of the Vajra Dakini Sequence, and the section on the activities of the Vajra Acharya in the Vajrasekhara Sutra. Here, the explanation will mainly be based on the text of the Vajrasekhara Sutra. This part is divided into two parts: supplication and taking vows. First is the supplication: from the Vajrasekhara Sutra: 'Lord, please grant me the vows, all the Sugatas, Buddhas like the sun, please listen to my supplication.' etc., to the disciple who supplicates, say: 'Of the great secret lineage, do you want to fully uphold the secret?' Ask him if he sincerely wants to take the vows. After that, if that disciple has the desire to seek the Dharma, first proclaim the vows, and then let him recite them himself. Here, one should supplicate to the guru: 'Please guru, show me.' Then take the vows. Also, the Vajrasekhara Sutra says: 'First, these vows should be given by the wise according to his wishes and preferences, and should not be forced. If he has faith in the vows, then he should be given the vows. After establishing them on the three vows, then show the mandala.' As the scripture says, if the disciple does not have the intention to take the vows, do not give them; if he has the intention and faith to take the vows, then he should be given them. As quoted before, ask him if he sincerely wants to take the vows. In general, do not blindly pursue initiation, it is very important for the guru to cultivate the disciple's firm intention to uphold the vows, because without this intention, the vows will not arise. Even if the disciple has the intention to take the vows, but if the guru has lost the previous mantra vows due to breaking the root vows, now
