And the four transgressions, and the three aspects of mind, protect them as much as you can. It is said that one should rely on a holy friend and cultivate the knowledge of mantra, in order to cultivate the knowledge of yoga from the crest. One should rely on the wise. So it is. One should not despise yogis, but should serve and respect them. As for the ten white deeds of the three doors of body and so on, one should protect them as much as one can, that is, increase them. The third has two parts: abandoning the cause of turning away from the Great Vehicle, and abandoning the faults of contempt and arrogance. The first is: Do not desire the inferior vehicle, do not turn your back on the benefit of sentient beings, do not abandon the cycle of existence, and do not always cling to nirvana. It is said that the inferior vehicle is the path of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, which is inferior in terms of the benefit of others and the fruit of enlightenment, which are specifically to be done. Therefore, one should not desire to destroy oneself with this path, but one should not abandon the inferior vehicle's collection of scriptures, saying, "What can it do for me?" as has already been shown. One should not turn one's back on the burden of benefiting countless sentient beings, through laziness and so on, that is, one should not be displeased, but one should gladly take on that burden. As for not abandoning the cycle of existence, as it says in the Crest: Until the end of the cycle of existence, may I not become enlightened, and may all sentient beings accomplish this. As it says, as long as the cycle of existence exists, one should remain in the cycle of existence and put on the armor of benefiting sentient beings. Always, that is, at any time, one should not cling to nirvana simply by being liberated from the bonds of existence, but one should strive for perfect enlightenment. The second is: Gods and non-gods, secret lords, you should not despise them, and you should not despise the mudras, vehicles, weapons, and symbols. It is said that one should not despise the gods and non-gods who have and have not transcended the world, and the secret lords, yakshas, and so on. The Victorious One, the Good One, said: One should not despise the gods of the three secrets. It is also said in this way. Mudras are the painted images of deities and so on. Vehicles are the images of the vehicles of deities and the vehicles of lamas. Weapons are the swords and so on that the deities hold in their hands. Symbols are the hands of the deities.

One should not trample on mandalas, Dharma wheels, vajras, etc. The Top Tantra says: "Wheels, vajras, lotuses, etc., whatever symbolic mudras there are, one should not trample on them, nor should one eat them. Likewise, leftovers, the shadows of deities, should not be stepped on with one's feet. One should not sit on them, nor should one place anything on them again. The auspicious emblems of deities, and the symbols of the deities' mounts, should not be trampled on or despised, and one should not harm sentient beings." It also says: "The bodies and emblems of deities, and the deities, humans, and mounts, leftovers, the shadows of deities, and all the symbols of deities, various foods, made into symbolic forms, should not be trampled on, should not be eaten, various foods, made into symbolic forms, should never be stepped on." It is said that leftovers are the old offerings that remain after offering. One should not sit on those things, nor should one place other objects on those things. If one accidentally steps on shadows or other things that should not be trampled on, what should one do? The Avataravatara clearly explains this. As it says: "Also, due to the mother and the time, if something that should not be trampled on is trampled on or stepped on, it is permitted for those who possess vajra power and the yogis of the Great Mudra. Therefore, if these two do something that should not be trampled on due to such a place and time, the yogi will not incur fault. As it says in other scriptures: "Due to ignorance or delusion, as well as laziness or forgetfulness, stepping on vajra patterns, etc., one will definitely violate the samaya. Therefore, with all effort, do not be swayed by vajra power, and the wise should know, especially in the mandala. Leftovers, the symbols of vajra patterns, gatherings of Buddha image mudras, etc., even if they are defiled or stepped on, those with vajra power will not incur fault." So it is said. It is also said in the context of mudra yoga. The position of the word "vajra power" should be replaced with the word "mudra yoga." This is particularly important to note. In short, the vajra power mudra and mantra yoga mentioned here are like this: patterns or vajra children or etc., in the mind.
