Therefore, for the yogi, it is to be known that the equality of all Tathagatas of the three times is the Buddha of the present, and there should be no doubt about this, that is, there should be no hesitation. Therefore, it should not be abandoned. How should the mind arise? The so-called "Vajra of Emptiness" is the five-pronged Vajra mudra, which should be fully observed and then generated on the moon disc in the heart. One should not despise the Dharma of the Three Vehicles taught by the holy ones, saying, "What is the use of this?" Nor should one ever abandon these Dharmas with words or thoughts, saying, "I don't need this, I should abandon this." Because the wisdom of hearing has not determined the meaning of the Dharma, or because there is no wisdom of hearing, contemplation, and meditation, and the nature of dependent origination is not understood, due to the domination of ignorance, the practitioner should not despise the Dharma of the Three Vehicles. The Four Hundred and Fifty Verses says: "One who does not understand or is ignorant should not teach the Great Dharma." Its commentary says: "When there is no merit to hear the words and meanings of the Holy Dharma, or one does not have merit and is not complete, and doubt and inverted clinging arise, one should not explain the meaning of the words to them." Thus it is said. External objects are also expressed by their own sounds. In order to cut them off, the words "one's own" and "self-nature" are used. Without regard for one's own body and life, one should completely abandon them, and one should not torment oneself with the eighteen unbearable ascetic practices mentioned in the Action Tantra, etc., as an antidote to yoga, with ascetic practices such as food and drink. The eighteen ascetic practices can be found in the commentary on the distinctions of the Three Realms Victorious King. So how should it be held? Whatever is comfortable is the absence of asceticism and austerity. One should comfortably hold and increase the dwelling place, food, and drink, etc., that are in accordance with the arising of the yoga that is determined to be held. Because this is abiding in the irreversible aggregate body, it is the future Buddha. Shantipa said: "Abandoning the mind of yoga, one should not torment oneself with what is incompatible with yoga." The vajra is the hand seal that shows the mind of enlightenment and has the nature of the first vajra. The bell is the bell marked with the first vajra.

It is the hand gesture that follows the sound that makes the disciple know wisdom. The four, namely samaya, dharma, karma, and mahamudra, are mudras. The reason for abandoning is that if enlightenment can be attained by meditating on the meaning of suchness, then what is the use of vajra bells, etc., for attaining that enlightenment? Shantipa explained this, and as for doing so, as previously quoted from the Great Commentary on Glorious Supreme, it is said to be a root downfall, so one should be careful about these things that are very likely to happen and have great faults. Reviling the lama refers to reviling with words such as "I pay homage." These vows that appear in many mandala rituals of yoga and anuttarayoga are things that should be understood by the disciple. As it appears in the Great Commentary on Glorious Supreme, it is clearly explained. If the meaning of the fourteen other than what is said by those previously shown reasons is not so, then what is it? The classification of fourteen root downfalls exists in the Yoga Tantra, which is explained in the Vajrasekhara Sutra, but for these fourteen, it is not seen in other fundamental Indian texts that it is said to be such a number, but in the commentary on the Compendium of Meanings of the Vajradhatu, it is explained as previously said, and the Vajra Acarya Kamadhenupa of Jalandhara says in the commentary on the Tantra of Purifying the Evil Destinies: "From then on, more constant than that," until "My own nature and mantras, etc., are also like that," receive special common vows, and then give the fourteen root downfalls with branches to those who are worthy to be Acaryas. After saying this, when proclaiming the vows, "The Vajra Mothers themselves" refers to the Bhagavatimata, namely the Motivating Mother, the One-haired Mother, Mamaki, Tara, etc., because they are inseparable from the Wisdom Vajra, so to those who are shown to be Yoginis themselves. The yogi refers to the mantra holder. Do not despise, refers to because of abiding in the female, there may be reviling, so it is a prohibition, because the female is the nature of wisdom. Disrespect for them is the fourteenth root downfall, so in the root downfalls, disrespect for these is also established as a root downfall. Thus, because the root downfall of reviling women is said to be the root downfall of the Yoga Tantra, the other thirteen are also clearly considered to be the same as Anuttarayoga. This itself is good, because the root downfall
