Where should one strive diligently? Therein lies the distinction. It is said. For example, if one is a practitioner who receives flowers for Akshobhya or deities of that lineage, one should strive diligently in upholding the three samayas and relying on the guru. Then, when proclaiming the vows, after proclaiming the common samayas, why is it not explained to uphold those when taking them? To this, some, such as the master Lavapa, actually uphold those as well under the taking of the vows of the five families. However, when bestowing the vows, the guru explains a rough outline of the general and individual samayas of the five families, and then the practitioners associated with the five families, having cultivated the desire to take the vows, thinking that they will learn all the samayas that should be learned, it is sufficient to touch (the mandala), so even if there is no separate (proclamation), there is no fault of the ritual being incomplete. Thus, if one summarizes the meaning of the texts on taking vows, it is transformed here: after taking refuge in the Three Jewels and the lama, one visualizes oneself as the deity's body, the great mudra, remembering and holding the suchness of the vajra and bell, and making offerings to oneself, becoming skilled in the three vehicles, turning away from all misdeeds, gathering all virtuous dharmas, and benefiting sentient beings through the four kinds of generosity. From the mandala ritual of Klu-byang: "The disciple and the lama, first recite three times." As it is said that the ritual of taking vows, both teachers must recite three times each, as it is also said in the mandala ritual of Sgra-gcan-'dzin dpal bshes-gnyen and the mandala ritual Vajra Garland to do it three times, so it must be done three times. In particular, if it is the first time to take the vows, and to restore the broken vows, it is necessary to do it three times completely, because if it is not complete, the ritual is not complete, and it will not arise (the vows), which is considered the same as other (situations). Then, since one has already obtained the vows and has not relinquished them, why is it said to take them again and again? That is for the sake of making the mind steadfast in guarding the samayas. In the Avatara it is said: In the presence of the Bhagavan, the characteristics of the general ritual are shown, even though the Mahayana vows have already been received, they are generated again for the sake of making the mind steadfast. It is said. The occasion for taking these vows is the ritual

Some recite Ishvara and Uma, the clear union of mandalas, and the Vajra Garland, etc., during the preparatory stage. Following the Vajrasekhara, masters like Kunga Nyingpo recite during the main practice. Marme Zangpo said, "After asking about good and bad dreams, destroy them with fire offerings and skillful means. After the disciple is well-protected and becomes a vessel, then let him take vows." Therefore, after examining the disciple's dreams, they recite until before entering the main practice, and many follow this practice. Thus, it is clear that vows are generated no matter who is followed. The generation of vows does not depend on the completion of the generation stage empowerment at the end of the three throwing rituals. Those are only for empowerments related to the mandala ritual, otherwise, it is not certain that recitation is necessary even during the practice of Abhisamaya. The Kalachakra is said to be slightly different from the others, which will be explained below. The explanation of taking vows is finished. Third, regarding the manner of giving or not giving empowerment depending on whether vows are taken or not, there are three parts: the manner of not giving empowerment to those who do not hold vows; the manner of taking vows through empowerment, eliminating disputes; and revealing which vows are taken in Kriya and Charya empowerments. The first part: The Vajra Arising Tantra says, "To those who do not hold vows, one should not say 'you' etc., one should not allow them to become a teacher, nor should one give empowerment. One should only allow them to enter." This means that if one does not hold vows, one is only allowed to enter up to the point of throwing flowers and showing the deity, empowerment is not given, and no vows are made during the entry. For such people, it is also necessary to make requests for taking vows, etc. It is said that it is not necessary to examine whether one is a vessel or not for mere entry, as the Tiptantra says, "In the great king of the secret mandala of all the Tathagatas, all beings without exception are allowed to enter. One should not examine whether one is a vessel or not, one should be completely attached to entering. Why is that? Because all beings merely see
