The vows of the Manir Amitabha lineage are pure because they are the nature of undefiled speech. Therefore, it is taught that from this will arise the wisdom of individual realization. The way to hold these dharmas is as previously explained, one should hold them without abandoning them, thinking, "This is of no use to me." Fifth, taking the vows of Don Yö Drubpa (Amoghasiddhi): In the supreme great family of karma, Those who are endowed with all meditations, I shall take them as they truly are. I will also do what I can in the work of offering. It is said, "I will do it." What is the work of severance? To show that, it says, "Those who are endowed with all vows," that is, the offering that is endowed with all outer and secret offerings. That is Manir. Here, taking the vows is for the purpose of making offerings of the Don Yö Drubpa lineage, because it is the nature of diligent wisdom. As it is said, it is the vows. And that is taken as it truly is. Manir's five close practices, the outer offering and the mandala that is meditated upon, the offering with those who hold their own seed syllables, etc., the secret offering, and the attainment of the state of purification of afflictions through the stages of the four joys by entering into equality with the consort, that is the offering of suchness. Moreover, from the Manifestation of the Supreme Guru: By becoming accustomed to the state of no-self-nature, Meditating on the essence of the deity, That is considered a great offering. It is what realizes all Buddhas. As it is said, by meditating on the bodhicitta that follows the nature of one's own deity in the state of no-self-nature, it is taught as the supreme offering of suchness. This vow of offering is common to both tantra classes, so it should be combined with its own occasion. How should it be done? It says, "As much as possible," that is, promising according to one's own strength. The word "also" relates to the previous ones. To whose vow should such a thing belong? It belongs to the supreme great family of karma, that is, the vow of the nature of Don Yö Drubpa (Amoghasiddhi). Third, summarizing the meaning and promising: Bodhicitta is supreme, After I have generated the noble one, For the sake of all sentient beings, I will take all the vows. Those who are not liberated, I will liberate. Those who have not crossed over, I will lead across. Those who have not found rest, I will give rest, the suffering of sentient beings.

Should rejoice. Thus it is said. The first two lines gather the meaning of aspiration and entry, and the next two gather the meaning of the five vows. Those who are not liberated are Brahma and others who are bound by the two obscurations of ignorance, etc., liberating them from those, and those who have not transcended the obscuration of knowledge, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, liberating them from those, and those who have not breathed their last in hell, etc., causing them to breathe, and causing all sentient beings to rejoice in the non-abiding Nirvana, this is the view of both the Man Nying and Vajra Dakini commentaries. The last verse is explained in Man Nying as generating the mind of entering into practice. Thus, the explanations from the empowerment of Vairochana downwards, which are not clear, are explained according to the view of Bhava Bhatra. The teacher Munindra Bhadra said that the Tathagata family should hold the Three Jewels as one, the Vajra family should hold the vajra and bell mudra and the teacher as three, the Ratna family should hold the four gifts, the Padma family should hold the outer teachings and the three vehicles as four, and the Karma family should hold all the vows and perform the work of offering, making fourteen in total. Combining the bell mudra into one is not reasonable, as it contradicts the explanation of the two separately in the commentary on Shri Paramadya by the teacher Kunsnying. The explanation of the outer teachings of the Padma family is also not considered reasonable. However, making two for the Karma family is from the twelfth chapter of the Vajra Heart Ornament: 'The sound of the drum, many kinds of activities, endowed with vows and precepts, respect and offerings, the meaning of sentient beings, by doing so, one obtains its qualities.' This is in accordance with this, and there it is also said to do the work of sentient beings. Even so, previously it was said according to the rules of the two commentaries. All these vows must be kept by all practitioners of each family, but Buddha Secret said that one must be especially diligent in keeping the vows of one's own family, from the Avatara: Therefore, for any family, by pleasing one's own deity, one should also follow as much as possible all the distinctions of the vows shown to be in accordance with the family. To please, one should be very attentive to any vow that is in accordance with one's own deity.
