Of the teacher. By offering to Vajrasattva, what merit has he not made? What asceticism has he not practiced? Thus it is said. Therefore, from "with all effort" to "supreme accomplishment arises from the gathering," except for the sixth verse, are condensed from the second part of the glorious first, and the first and fifth verses also appear in the thirteenth chapter of the tent. Second, to regard as Buddha, there are two: the actual meaning and the negation of disrespect towards harshness, etc. The first is: Therefore, disciples, give up compassion, possess the qualities of discipline and patience. The teacher and the Vajra Holder should not be regarded as different. Thus it is said. The lama himself is the field for accumulating merit, equal to all Buddhas, therefore, noble disciples should not regard the Vajra Master and the Vajra Holder, the Vajradhara, as different, but should have faith that he is the Vajradhara. Noble disciples are those who possess the qualities of compassion, the root of the Great Vehicle, and the giving of body, enjoyment, and virtue, dedicating them to sentient beings, abandoning the attachment to self-interest, and the discipline of vows that are completely pure, and the patience of not being weary of the evil deeds and asceticism of sentient beings. Regarding the lama as a Buddha is taught in many tantras, such as in the seventeenth chapter of the glorious Guhyasamaja: Bhagavan, how should all the Tathagatas and all the Bodhisattvas regard the teacher who is manifestly empowered by the Vajra Secret Guhyasamaja of the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas? Son of the lineage, all the Tathagatas and Bodhisattvas should regard the mind of enlightenment as a vajra. Why is that? The teacher is equal to the mind of enlightenment and is inseparable from the two. As it is said, the empowerment of the Guhyasamaja also represents the empowerment of other tantras, and the empowerment also represents other Vajra Masters. The Vajra of the mind of enlightenment is a synonym for the name of Vajradhara. In Tsilupa's commentary on the Guhyasamaja, it says: There is no difference between the two.

Therefore, the mind of enlightenment is the Vajra Dharmakaya, from which the Sambhogakaya arises, and in order to not change its Nirmanakaya form on the path of seeing, the Nirmanakaya abides in its body, purifying the karmic obscurations of others. Thus it is said that in this time when it is impossible to directly see the Buddha, the Buddhas abide in the body of the Vajra Master, benefiting sentient beings. The necessity of seeing the Guru as inseparable from the Buddha is to generate equal faith in Vajradhara and the Guru, to stabilize the pride of Vajradhara, and to quickly accumulate merit and achieve accomplishment with little effort, as Shantipa said in the commentary on the Guhyasamaja Tantra. Vajradhara himself, in order to benefit sentient beings, emanates as an ordinary being and takes the form of a Guru, as stated in the fifteenth chapter of the Guru Tantra: Whoever is Vajrasattva, he takes the form of a Guru, intending to benefit sentient beings, he abides in the form of an ordinary being. Thus it is said. One should view the Guru as the five Buddha families, increase the mind of thinking about qualities, and put much effort into guarding against the mind of finding faults. If one examines from the perspective of qualities, it becomes the cause of increasing one's own accomplishments, but if one examines from the perspective of even slight faults, it will undoubtedly become an obstacle to accomplishment. Thus it is also said in the fourteenth chapter of the Vajra Heart Ornament: Always respecting the guru, the disciple should view the guru in this way: the guru is equal to all the Buddhas, he is always Vajradhara, the Tathagata Ratnasambhava, he is the great ocean of wisdom, the wish-fulfilling jewel bestows precious jewels, grasp all of his qualities, do not even think of all faults with your mind, grasping qualities obtains accomplishment, faults cause accomplishment to decline. Thus it is said, and it is also said in the same way in the Mayajala Tantra. One should intentionally put much effort into guarding against the mind of finding faults, and if one transgresses, one should confess and restrain oneself, and one should repeatedly hold in one's mind the aspect of whatever qualities one sees, this is a profound method for cultivating faith in the Guru. The way of relating to the Guru's body as the nature of qualities is particularly
