At that time, due to an invitation to assume the seat of Sukhavati, he went to U-Tsang (present-day Lhasa area). However, the circumstances for the seat did not materialize. With the large amount of possessions he had brought, he extensively built monasteries and served the Sangha in Sukhavati and Narthang (present-day Rikaze area of Tibet). Afterwards, he went to Yabchosding to practice in the presence of the realized being, Rigdzinpa. He offered all his possessions to the Lama and devoted himself single-mindedly to practice, giving rise to a special experience of tranquility. After that, he went to Amdo. He founded two monasteries, Jakhung Monastery and a monastery called Sharang Monastery. For several consecutive years, he first taught the Ornament for Clear Realization, as well as the Five Treatises of Maitreya, the Compendium of Trainings, the Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life, etc. However, he did not achieve great benefit as he had hoped, so he became discouraged. Therefore, he appointed his nephew Shakya Zangpo as the successor to the seat at Sharang Monastery. He himself practiced single-mindedly at Jakhung Monastery. This master was both learned and accomplished, and it is said that the tutelary deity personally took him under his care and blessed him. Near his passing, celestial music and offerings of flowers and the like descended, and a clear voice came from the sky, saying that he would be going from here to the north, to the Buddha-field called "Drum Sound." He could effortlessly see hidden places with his own eyes and possessed countless inconceivable qualities of realization. In addition, he offered a large amount of tea and offerings to Narthang Monastery and Sukhavati Monastery. At that time, there was a person named Tonser, who attended on this Rinpoche. The Rinpoche told him, "Be sure to remember today's date and time. Today, we are offering tea and offerings at Narthang Monastery." This Rinpoche kept the time in mind. Later, when the people delivering the offerings arrived there, they inquired in detail and learned that the date of the tea offering was exactly that day. After his father, the Realized One (rtogs ldan pa), passed away, a Bodhisattva was appointed as the successor to the seat. The Bodhisattva sent his documents and offering shares, etc., to him in Amdo, and when he sent the replies back, he gave the previous offering shares, etc., to Guru Konzhonpa, explaining the reasons and all the letters. He said, "Previously, it was the Bodhisattva who sent it to us, so just give it to him."

When Dapa Drak asked, he said, "They will come this way." When the messengers arrived in Central Tibet (དབུས་), the Bodhisattva had already passed away, and it was said that Guru Konshonpa had been appointed as his father's successor. There are many such stories that could be told, but I have not written them down because they would become too long. Lama Dondrup Rinchen, who was highly exalted by such a collection of merits, served as the Khenpo. The great spiritual friend, who had studied many sutras and tantras with many scholars and panditas in Central Tibet (དབུས་), Tsang (གཙང་), Nepal, and other places, and whose disciple, named Dawen Yönnu Senge, was called Yönnu Jangchup, served as the teacher. He received the novice vows in the proper manner, and his name was bestowed as Lobsang Drakpa Pel. This lama took me as his own from childhood, thinking that I would become the master of the precious teachings, the King of Dharma, and he cherished me greatly in his heart, nurturing me well like a sprout that would bring forth a great medicinal tree. He ordained me and matured me in the gateway of the Vajrayana, and he made great efforts in the travel and management to Central Tibet (དབུས་) and Tsang (གཙང་). He was a very kind lama. Here it is said: With the glory of extreme peace and gentleness, even the aged celestial hermit of pure conduct, that youth who treated them like an unruly child, here became the nucleus of the snowy land. Prince Yönnu, the moon of compassion, holding the beautiful maroon robes during breaks, at that moment, in the garden of the home, he gave full joy to the longing lotus. This is from the biography of the great Tsongkhapa, called "The Entrance of Faith," which divides the stages of renunciation from household life to homelessness, and this is the second part. Having thus renounced, he fully contemplated this: In the Vinaya, the Dharma Lord Buddha Shakyamuni himself has well taught that there are two tasks for those who have renounced: the order of study, reflection, and meditation. Therefore, I too must first study the words of the Victorious One through the gateway of study and reflection.
