The offerings, headed by the eight horse owners, and the treasure vases filled with precious substances, were accompanied by very elaborate rituals. About one hundred and fifty treasure vases to be buried in various regions and sub-regions were prepared. The local chieftain's offering cake repulsions mostly ended up as dog food, and you, teacher and disciples, said you wanted a wrathful frolic. Since we are hermits practicing asceticism and are not interested in offering cake repulsions, we performed peaceful and enriching fire pujas through the Kagye Desheg Dupa (Bka' brgyad bde gshegs 'u dus pa) and turned them into ashes. In addition, there were Dharma protector offerings and various compositions, but because of mental distractions, we did not accept them, so your intentions were not fully realized. One day, in the newly renovated old Dzong (རྫོང་རྙིང་) chambers, at a feast of the assembly wheel associated with the consecration ceremony, offerings such as Sai Nyingpo Segma (ས་སྙིང་པོ་གསེག་མ་, a type of mineral), molten metal, butter, thin blankets, and woolen cloth were also given. The supports of the Three Jewels, offering items, musical instruments, and even the images of Nagas (ཀླུའི་གཟུགས་བརྙན་) said to be alive for generations, were made visible to the eye. The root empowerment of Drolting (གྲོལ་ཏིང་) in its entirety according to his own system, and all the empowerments and transmissions of Longchen Nyingthig (ཀློང་ཆེན་སྙིང་ཏིག་) were received. He also created copies of these and most of the new treatises, and took the original texts. A person who had embezzled public funds was being punished by the national law, but out of compassion, a plea as sweet as honey caused him to be exonerated and allowed to breathe in a place of ease. In their respective private chambers, they also enjoyed offerings and receptions. Generous parting gifts were given, and a certificate was granted from Namrap Yongteng (རྣམ་རབ་ཡོང་སྟེང་) for thirty khal of grain to be given annually. Although it was requested that others not be tormented by the transportation of tribute by the common people, it was said that it must be brought here, so that certificate was lost this year. In the "Letter to a Friend," it says: Desires are the source of ruin, the Buddha said they are like the fruit of the kimpa tree. One should abandon them, for they bind the world in the prison of samsara with their iron chains. If one can discern what to accept and reject, then the time for action will naturally arrive. The continuous use of the property of the local government is generally heavy in karmic consequences, and especially...

Since it is the realm of beings and the movement of all thoughts, relying on veneration increases anger and resentment, and the emptiness of interdependent origination is purified in that purity. In this city of Rajgir, a Geshe of the nominalist school said: Dzogchen is the pinnacle of all views. What is the difference between the nature of making views high and the profound Madhyamaka view? In general, a view that is separate from the three of arising, ceasing, and abiding cannot be determined by words. For the reality of the meaning expressed, a view that is separate from the four extremes or eight extremes must be made the ultimate meaning of the Madhyamaka's own tenet. When the nature of the view is determined by knowledge, it is difficult to establish characteristics if this basis of non-elaboration is used as a basis. Sakya Pandita said: If a view arises that is higher than the non-elaboration of the Perfection of Wisdom, then that view will become elaborate. That is also emphasized there. However, for the way of understanding the meaning of non-elaboration, the two wheels of the middle and the end, each with the power of the individual's intellect, arise as refutation and establishment, and the establishment of literal meaning and implicit meaning is very different. In general, the nominalists, for the words such as "Whatever arises dependently, without cessation, without arising," etc., through understanding and analysis, it is difficult to reach the real meaning. The discrimination of consciousness is contrary to wisdom. The emptiness of the analysis of the aggregates is firm on the basis of reason. They think that the Buddha's wisdom cannot be known by the realm of sentient beings, and they cling to the edge of countless three kalpas. We Dzogchenpas, from the Tantra of the Quintessence of Nearness, say: Whoever enters the meaning of meditation and enlightenment is considered to be afflicted with the disease of meditation. The realm of the Sugata cannot be expressed in words. To indicate in the realm of the Buddha is a mistaken path. Like this, in the form of detachment, it says: I have found a Dharma like nectar, profound, peaceful, non-elaborate, luminous, and unconditioned. When applying these to the meaning, the essence has no characteristics, so it is profound. The nature is inconceivable, so it is peaceful. It does not meet the edge of permanence and annihilation, so it is non-elaborate. The Dharma nature is free from obtaining and abandoning, so it is luminous. It transcends the knowable of conceptual thought, so it is unconditioned. At the time of the path, the accumulation of merit is like an ocean.
