Like a small flower carried away by frost, Afflicted by illness, that young lady, Rests her body upon the bed. For those with compassion, how can they endure it? With the profound Vajrayana path, Perform the transference of consciousness and dedication correctly. She was struck by the noose of the Lord of Death, Yama, Faster and more violent than a lightning flash. Although it is always in mind, Tonight, in the final moment, Seeing it directly, tears flow. This tonight has befallen her, Universally present before all sentient beings. Especially for us, when it will come is hard to know. Thinking thus, practice the supreme Dharma. Remembering this, seek the solitary mountain retreat. Seeing that, cut off attachment to this life. Thinking thus, gather the scattered mind. All those whose minds are possessed by evil spirits, Knowing that it has happened to others, Do not think it will come to themselves. For fame, they crave from the depths of their hearts, You disciples who have mastered the method of practice, Reflect on this and generate diligence. By all means, reduce unnecessary thoughts. Thus it is said. In India, when the great scholar Nāgārjuna was propagating the Dharma, there was a holder of the scriptures named Kumārasena, who was blessed by a demon. In order to destroy Buddhism, he founded a heretical sect that preached life as Dharma. Although there was no open manifestation of this sect in Tibet, knowing that many similar situations were occurring in thought and action, he gave important admonitions with a single verse such as "Patience and asceticism are supreme patience." From the perspective of the Buddhas' activities, the gateway to the Dharma also corresponds to the inclinations of beings, so knowing that it should be tamed, ’Gos Lojang Zhonnu dpal, who perceived these things, seemed very impartial. Here, it is difficult to truly understand the tenets of the sect that one follows, but merely understanding some of the surface, and then proclaiming the faults of others with a mind full of hatred and attachment, although this is beautiful, those with noble birth, appearance, and learning, if they lack wisdom and discipline, are not worthy of respect. Therefore, whoever possesses these two qualities, even if they lack other qualities, is worthy of reverence. This is like the situation before the Ganges River in India. If you hold the tenets of Atiśa, then you should hold the Pratimoksha vows.

Measure these precepts with the thought of Bodhicitta. In this way, integrate this practice into one's own mindstream, and according to the conduct of the ordained in the Three Hundred Verses: Whoever kills, steals the wealth of others, engages in impure conduct, lies, drinks inferior alcohol, etc., dancing, garlands, etc., large high seats, eating after noon, abandoning gold and silver, etc., holds the precepts in a way that conquers afflictions. Regarding these contents, if one can properly abide by the teachings explained in the Extensive Commentary on the Vinaya and the extensive places of learning such as the Matters Section, I will deeply believe that Buddhism will abide in Tibet. Although I entered the Buddhist gate from a young age, I did not strictly restrain myself. As the Three Hundred Verses say: Whatever is not allowed, and whatever is not forbidden, should be taken or abandoned according to the Buddha's teachings. Therefore, I have been blessed by Kalachakra. From the beginning of liking to eat repeatedly in the unpleasant land of Uttarakuru, to touching and possessing treasures, I will think that this is allowed for the purpose of offering to the Konchok (དཀོན་མཆོག,ratna,Three Jewels) and saving sentient beings, thereby falling into two extremes. Even if someone thinks I am a practitioner who follows the world and is easy to follow, this is very beneficial for not committing downfalls, because it is only an appearance. In the Sutra of Specific Merits, it says: Monks, is there enlightenment in touching the head? Is there enlightenment in wearing dyed clothes? Is there enlightenment in washing the body with water? Is there enlightenment in eating after noon? After the Buddha said this, the monks became doubtful. The Buddha further said: One should cut off the hair of discriminating thoughts with the sword of wisdom; one should protect oneself from the heat of afflictions with the garment of emptiness; one should wash away the dirt of ignorance with the water of wisdom; one should eliminate the thirst of desire with the food of meditation. That is the meaning. Like this, it is also because of the power of past aspirations that many habitual tendencies are awakened. Regarding this view, there are many debates and refutations. As the views and arguments of some virtuous friends show, I see many reasons to believe that this essentialist system has fallen into the extremes of permanence and annihilation. However, from the perspective of meditative experience, the shortcomings of those who say so are also exposed.
