Because of disharmony, whatever one does, one should keep in mind the Buddha, keep in mind the Dharma, keep in mind the Sangha, keep in mind the Bodhisattva, and keep in mind the all-knowing wisdom that possesses all aspects of excellence, and not be separated from it. Just as it is said: How can one become the most excellent of all sentient beings, become the most important, become the most outstanding? In the past, in the sacred land, King Ashoka gave the kingdom to the Sangha, and how he served for the sake of the Dharma, and in this snowy land, the three Dharma Kings, grandfather, son, and grandson, who manifested as the wisdom of the three protectors, such as Avalokiteśvara, possessed immaculate lineage, limbs of excellent form, the splendor of radiant youth, bravery, tranquility, steadiness, unfeigned power, indestructible arms, undiminished authority, boundless wealth, mounts, slaves, walking with feet raised on the heads of many people, possessing the surroundings of lands, regions, towns, and great cities, great castles, and the lord who controls the thousand-eyed palace of stacked houses. As Nāgārjuna said: Although young, he delights in approaching the peace of the elderly. Although wise, he has no pride in knowledge. Although his glory is great, he is patient and tranquil. Although he goes higher and higher, he has no arrogance or pride. And as it says in the Suhrllekha: Stinginess, deceit, attachment, and laziness, false pride, desire, and hatred, lineage, appearance, learning, and youth, and pride arising from great power, regard them as enemies. Just like this, the apparent happiness of living in a household is not good, there is no liberation, it is between birth and death, alternating between prosperity and decline, relying on the causes of samsara and the lower realms and enjoying the nature of the result. The many faults repeatedly proclaimed by the Bhagavan, with the sharp arrow of renunciation arising from remembering these faults, completely severing the firm bonds of clinging to non-virtue and being ignorant of the nature of cause and effect, completely engaging in the joy of this.

How does one enter? In the letter to a friend, it says, "Relying on a virtuous spiritual friend is pure conduct. Because the Buddha spoke of being able to fully realize it, one should rely on an excellent person, and having relied on an excellent person, many attain peace." As it is said, the cause and effect of liberation and omniscience are also known to depend entirely on an excellent person, a virtuous spiritual friend, as the primary cause. Therefore, from the great source of Dharma in India, a Pandit incarnation, who had mastered many teachings and was not confused in any field of Sutra and Tantra, was invited. Without regard for life or possessions, they approached and relied on him, seeking him with difficulty. The precious teachings of the Buddha, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, became one of the roots, and countless sacred teachings of Sutra and Tantra were translated. As it is said in the second chapter of the 'Sound Combination,' the Tantras of secret mantras should be kept secret by the texts. They should not be explained or shown to those who are not vessels. Even if translation and practice are permitted, because they do not understand the hidden language, some people grasp the literal meaning and use it incorrectly. Among the Tantras of mantras, some are selected and translated into Tibetan. From now on, except for Dharanis and mantras that are personally permitted and allowed to be translated by the Lama, it is not appropriate to select and translate Tantras of mantras and mantra phrases. Because the Great Vehicle Secret Mantra is not the object of common practice for those to be tamed, it has been kept in great secrecy since the time of Emperor Trisong Detsen (742-797 AD). Later, in the Horse year, when the prince Lhasras Tride Songtsen (Khri-lde-srong-btsan) resided in Onchangdo, when the previously translated scriptures such as the Tripitaka were determined with new terms, it was also decreed that the mantra Tantras should be kept as a vow of secrecy, so not many volumes were added. In the past, in the time of the ancestors, Buddhist terms were not known in Tibet, and names were given arbitrarily, which did not conform to the rules of grammar (Byākaraṇa), and words that were difficult to understand were not separated, or the emphasis was too much on phonetics, or the emphasis was too much on meaning, and these were not corrected by proofreading, so only Sanskrit.
