It is called a "collection" because it encompasses all knowable meanings from the aggregates, elements, and sense bases to the body and wisdom. It is said. How are they categorized? The first five are the Sutra Pitaka of the Hearers, and the middle three are the Vinaya Pitaka of the Hearers. Among them, the basic section is the main one because it teaches transgressions and precepts, while the sections on expressing realization and on such occurrences are considered to be retinues because they are its companions. Of the last four, the Jataka section is the retinue of the Bodhisattva Vinaya Pitaka, the Extensive and Wonderful sections are the Bodhisattva Sutra Pitaka, and the Definitive section is common to both Hearers and Bodhisattvas and is established as the Abhidharma Pitaka. For the Pratyekabuddha, there is no separate Pitaka; it relies on the Hearer's Pitaka. Secondly, regarding their individual nature, there are three aspects: definition, basis, and etymology. First, the definition of the Sutra Pitaka is: it belongs to the category of scriptures that primarily express the training in higher mind. Second, the basis is: the Hundred Thousand Verses of the Perfection of Wisdom, and so on. Third, the etymology is: in Sanskrit, it is called "Sutra," which is abbreviated as "Sutra" in Tibetan. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Because it speaks of places, characteristics, Dharma, and meaning, it is a Sutra." Thus, because it speaks of where it is taught, by whom it is taught, and why it is taught, it is a place; because it speaks of the characteristics of the two truths, it is a characteristic; because it speaks of the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and dependent origination, it is Dharma; and because it speaks of the meaning of their intention, it is meaning. In short, because it is taught in a collective manner, it is called a "Sutra." And because it is a collection of scriptures that teach these, it is called a "Pitaka." Second, the Abhidharma Pitaka also has three aspects. First, the definition is: it belongs to the category of scriptures that primarily express the training in higher wisdom. Second, the basis is: Abhidharma

etc. Third, the etymology: In Sanskrit, it is called "Abhi (藏文,梵文天城体:अभि,梵文罗马拟音:abhi,汉语字面意思:Present)". Realization) means realization. As stated in the Ornament of Realization: "Manifestation and again and again, Subduing and realization, Therefore, it is called the Abhidharma." Therefore, the Dharma that tends towards the peaceful Nirvana is in accordance with the Bodhipakṣika-dharmas, and it reveals the gates of liberation, hence it is manifestation. Regarding the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., there are many differences such as what can be said and what cannot be said, and it is repeatedly explained, hence it is again and again. Regarding disputes and the basis of disputes, etc., it subdues the opponent in a decisive manner, hence it is subduing. It unerringly realizes the meaning of the knowable objects of the Sutra Pitaka of the Yathābhūta, and it becomes the cause of realization. Therefore, it understands these four meanings, hence it is the Abhidharma Pitaka. Third, regarding the Vinaya Pitaka, first is the definition: It belongs to the category of scriptures that mainly explain the training of higher discipline. Second, examples: such as the four Vinaya texts. Third, the etymology: The Vinaya Pitaka is called Vinaya (藏文,梵文天城体:विनय,梵文罗马拟音:vinaya,汉语字面意思:Taming) in Sanskrit. Vi (藏文,梵文天城体:वि,梵文罗马拟音:vi,汉语字面意思:Away) means falling, and Viniścaya (藏文,梵文天城体:विनिश्चय,梵文罗马拟音:viniścaya,汉语字面意思:Decision) means decision. As stated in the Ornament of Realization: "Falling and arising, purification and decision, Person and, Establishment and distinction, Because of decision, it is the Vinaya." That is, falling refers to the pārājika, saṃghāvaśeṣa, sthūlātyaya, niḥsargika-pāyantika, and pāyantika, which are the five types of falling. What are the causes from which these fallings arise? Asaṅga said that the gateways from which fallings arise are four, such as not knowing. The method of purification from falling is: the purification of the mind of restraint not to commit it in the future. The method of definite liberation from falling is: explaining the seven antidotes such as confession, which is definite liberation. Because it explains the four dharmas, it is the Vinaya. Furthermore, the person on whom the precepts are based, and the confession of the faults of the person, thereby establishing the precepts for the Sangha, and briefly explaining
