That is distinguished from others. Third, there are five ways to differentiate in detail: differentiating from the aspects of what is to be said (content) and what can be said (expression), antidote, those to be tamed (object), and self-condition, respectively. First, differentiating from the aspect of what is to be said, there are two truths. As it says in the Root Wisdom: "The Buddhas taught the Dharma, based on the two truths." That is, the conventional truth and the ultimate truth. If summarized briefly, it is abiding in the nature of what needs to be guided and what needs to be determined. As it says in the Exalted Inexhaustible Intelligence: "Showing the establishment of conventional truth is the meaning of what needs to be guided, showing the establishment of ultimate truth is the meaning of what needs to be determined." Second, differentiating from the aspect of what can be said, there are twelve branches of scripture. As it says in the Eight Thousand Stanza Explanation, Essence Supreme: "Sutras, songs, and prophecies, verses, self-statements, and causes, metaphors, narratives, and birth stories, extensive marvels, and divisions, are the twelve branches of scripture." Therefore, the Sutra section refers to the sutras briefly narrated in verses and prose, because it is easy to establish, easy to explain, easy to understand, and through the merit of the Dharma (Buddha's teachings) makes the Sangha complete, can quickly realize the nature of Dharma, gain faith through understanding the Buddha, gain faith through understanding the Dharma and Sangha, can touch the supreme state of dwelling in bliss in this life, and through eloquent speech establishes it, thereby satisfying the minds of the virtuous, and because it enters the ranks of the wise, it has ten benefits, so it is briefly proclaimed. The section of scriptures expressed in song refers to the content itself being expressed in verses and songs from the middle to the end, or because there are other places that need to be examined, it is a sutra of what needs to be guided. The section of prophecies refers to mainly prophesying about past and future events, or making prophecies by distinguishing intentions, which are scriptures of what needs to be determined. The section of verses refers to whatever is spoken by combining two or three lines, etc., up to six lines of verses. The section of self-statements refers to the Blessed One himself, not relying on the requests of others, but solely for the sake of the Dharma remaining...

It arises from the correct placement. To the Sangha of monks, it is like saying, "This special statement is indeed a special statement." The category of the basis of discussion is: to whom and to whom it is specially spoken, or this basis, and this occasion, and at the time of this occurrence, like establishing the precepts in this way. As it is said in the second volume of Grammar: "How did the Sutra Pitaka and Vinaya Pitaka, etc., originate? It explains the origin," and so on. The category of expressing realization is: in order for the listener to fully understand the meaning and realize the nature, using past stories as examples, it clearly shows the meaning of the Dharma. The category of Jataka tales is: when the Bhagavan's past Bodhisattva conduct entered the ocean, where and where he took birth, and what ascetic practices he performed, etc. The category of extensive teachings is: the path of great beings, the land of the Bodhisattva Pitaka, and the Paramitas, etc., which extensively and profoundly explain the forms. The category of wondrous teachings is: from which the knowledge, miraculous powers, and blessings, etc., of the Shravakas, Bodhisattvas, and fully enlightened Buddhas are shown, the category of teachings that show the inconceivable and wondrous. The category of definitive teachings is: by way of defining all dharmas by their own and common characteristics, the meaning of the Sutra Pitaka, etc., is correctly explained. Third, from the perspective of antidotes, there are three Pitakas, namely, the general definition, the individual characteristics, and the reason for establishing the three Pitakas. First, in Sanskrit, it is called Pitaka. When translated, it means "basket" or "collection," that is, in order to include all the dharmas to be known or the dharmas to be learned in this very place, it is called Pitaka. For example, in the large container of the city of Magadha, many small containers are gathered, or like the name of a container is accomplished by the meaning of containing. In these three Pitakas, there is no collection of meanings and words of the twelve divisions of scripture that is not included, so it is called Pitaka. Thus, if we combine the support and the supported, Acharya Asanga said: Again
