The meaning of "Paya Tantra" is established. Its conduct is as pure as that of Kriya, and it is practiced in the manner of Yoga. Therefore, it is also called the "hermaphrodite vehicle." The ultimate of the ground, path, and fruition is shown as the same lineage in the Yoga Tantra. The practice of deity yoga involves visualizing the wisdom deity as a sibling or friend in front of one's own samaya object, thereby attaining accomplishment within seven lifetimes. In the discernment of tantras, there are the "Manifestation of Enlightenment," "Blazing Fire," "Empowerment Tantra," "Non-Conceptual Tantra," and so on. The third is the Yoga Tantra, the meaning of Yoga Tantra is established. Generally, it does not primarily show the actions of body and speech, but mainly shows the actions of mind. That is, in the conventional truth, the mandala of the deity is complete, or only the glorious supreme one himself. One's own samaya-sattva invites and integrates the wisdom-sattva from Akanishta or the place of self-nature. The mind is held in the radiating and gathering web of light, and then the wisdom being is made to depart. Through such asceticism, liberation can be achieved in three lifetimes. In terms of classification, there are two ways: one is to rely on the five manifestations of enlightenment and mainly engage in samadhi; the other is to mainly engage in detailed rituals and sporadic activities. In the discernment of tantras, there are the "Vajradhatu Root Tantra of Five Thousand Verses with its Limbs," the "Pashakara Vajra Pinnacle Tantra," the "Padmakara Glorious Supreme First Tantra," and the "Samucchaya Condensed Realization Tantra," these four great texts, as well as the "Mula Tantra Purifying the Lower Realms," and the "Glorious Supreme Compendium," and so on. The three outer tantra sections are for those of middling faculties to accomplish liberation in lifetimes. Second, the three inner tantra sections are the expedient tantras, as the Guhyasamaja says: "Endless ascetic vows, even if practiced, will not lead to accomplishment, relying on all the qualities of desire, one will attain all accomplishments." Therefore, the wisdom of great bliss with eight powers, all that is abandoned by outsiders, the insiders can enjoy without acceptance or rejection, therefore it is called the expedient vehicle. As the Chakrasamvara says: "Able to be finer than the finest, conduct, ability, and great self, rejoicing and delighting, all become subject, doing as one pleases."

Furthermore, there are eight meanings of the自在. Generally, it is indicated in this way, while the specific distinctions exist directly within themselves. That is to say, for those with strong anger and many thoughts, the father tantra Mahāyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) which is the nature of appearance as skillful means, is explained; for those with strong desire and few thoughts, the perfection stage of emptiness as such, the wisdom mother tantra Anuyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is taught; for those with strong delusion and diligent action, the non-dual nature Atiyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is proclaimed. These three inner tantras, in general, are the nature of the basis, path, and fruit of all phenomena. As it is said in 'The Perfection of Lion's Strength': 'The generation stage Mahāyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is like the basis of all phenomena; the scripture Anuyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is like the path of all phenomena; the completion stage Atiyoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) is like the fruit of all phenomena.' Thus it is said. Among these, first, Mahāyoga has three aspects: essence, divisions, and the ascertainment of the tantra. Firstly, Mahāyoga Tantra (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), is known as the Great Yoga, the tantra of skillful means. How is it that all that is encompassed by appearance and existence is clearly manifest as the deity and its support, and the aggregates, elements, and sources are purified into the nature of the deity? The elements of the five winds become the path of bliss, clarity, non-conceptuality, and non-duality, thus desiring liberation in this life. The divisions are three: those who mainly consider the basis, path, and fruit; those who mainly consider the skillful means path and practice; and those who mainly consider the transformation of various paths. The first is that the nature-basis tantra, the luminosity of mind itself, is understood through its appearance as symbolic names, words, and letters. Through the generation and completion stages of the maturing and liberating path, the qualities are joined from higher to higher by the unwavering heat, thereby accomplishing the self-arisen wisdom. The second is that, relying on the practice of any of the five mandalas, realization and samadhi arise subsequently, therefore, siddhis are desired from the accomplished practice. The mandala of the illusory net of the body is made the path, and the lotus illusory net of speech, the mind of the blood drinker, the jewel of qualities, and the practice of the illusory net of the activity mandala are made the path, thus desiring the fruit as a byproduct of practicing the path. The third is that, in both the tantra and the practice, the tantra has the fruit of both the gradual generation and completion stages, and the instantaneous.
