Therefore, that teacher said, "Geshe Sherab Ozer (དགེ་བཤེས་ཤེས་རབ་འོད་ཟེར་) has distinguished the key points of this Dharma and seems to know the questions." Even those who were fearless in their explanations had to put more effort into their wisdom. From Rinpoche Dorje Gyalwa, he heard the commentaries on the Sutras and Tantras that are commonly taught today, as well as the complete Sakya Kabum, and did reviews. He was particularly familiar with the literature of the Golden Teachings and held its tenets. This holy being was the direct reincarnation of Yakde Panchen, so he was very intelligent from a young age, and in particular, Panchen Lama had received the teachings of the Lion-faced Dakini from the great teacher and put them into practice. Fearing that others would not understand, at the time of his passing, what was planted in E-wam Stone Cave has now been mastered. However, Drukpa Rinpoche Pema Karpo (པདྨ་དཀར་པོ) had doubts about a certain manifestation, so later (someone) said, "This is because he went to Akuchonipa (ཨ་ཁུ་མཚན་ཉིད་པ)." As he said, (this) became a dependent arising influenced by other factors. In that monastery, and in any monastery where the sound of reductio ad absurdum debates echoed, when he appeared on the battlefield of debate, his wisdom became inconceivable, and he even relaxed the restrictions on Tibetan commentaries. Relying solely on the commentaries of the Six Ornaments and Two Supremes, he thoroughly beat the three great drums of debate, examination, and reason from all sides. The teacher of Glingme said, "Even though you are like a new student, you have such vast wisdom." A Geshe of Bodongpa asked the Omniscient Rongpo, "What are you proficient in?" He replied, "I am proficient in Prajnaparamita." (The person) then asked, "Then are you proficient in Vinaya?" He replied, "Of course, it is the conduct of Prajnaparamita." He also asked him about Madhyamaka and Pramana, and he replied in the same way, "Madhyamaka is the view, and Pramana is the path of reasoning." Just like that, judging from the way you rely on Madhyamaka and Prajnaparamita to find the framework of the teachings, and the way you establish the tenets of the path of reasoning, the so-called Geshe refers to this kind of person." Therefore, he was praised in the Sangha, and from then on, he was known as Geshe Sherab Ozer. Although his reasoning wisdom was as sharp as thorns, becoming a supreme person like this was not solely based on these things to become famous.

Since it was not to begin preparations for achieving fame and wealth, but because intense feelings of renunciation and detachment had saturated my mind, I kept the wheel of diligent practice in mind. In that state, I sincerely longed for and had faith in the biographies of Master Shantideva and Lord Atisha. Once, when Drikungpa Rinchen Phuntsok went to the southern region to inspect the E-wam and the not-too-distant Sathang Kyargar residences, it happened that he was teaching the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life" as a common Dharma to about three hundred monks. "The true meaning of wisdom is not the domain of the mind." Starting from this verse, he mainly explained the three shlokas with Atisha's commentary on the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life." He treated famous commentaries as plagues and also adorned it with logical reasoning. Seeing that he was explaining it in conjunction with the practice of the Kagyu tradition, and that he was giving a wonderful explanation, the compassionate Dharma of this venerable master struck my heart. I threw away from the rooftop the subtle considerations of worldly affairs, as little as could fit in a beggar's pocket. As I was about to leave, a friend who knew medicine stopped me for a while. At this time, I was eighteen years old. Generally, the courage and the power of the aspirations of a holy person cannot be subdued by the will of others, so like a fearless lion soaring in the sky, I abandoned the monastic college, abandoned my friends, gave up attachment to possessions, and with only the lama who teaches the definitive meaning and solitude in mind, I fled like a wild animal escaping from a cage. When I arrived in Phan-yul, I met the realized Kālava of Drikung Yangriwa and about forty monks who had come for alms. At that time, Drikungpa was very wise in both politics and religion, and the regulations of Syennga Chökyi Drakpa, who was seated on the throne of Thel, were very well established. Surrounded by a sea of lamas and officials, when I saw the son of Lhasa, Drikungpa Rinchen Phuntsok, who had no conflicts, coming to offer gifts, the arrogance of the scholastic scholars vanished, unshakable faith surged from the depths of my heart, and tears fell like rain. I abandoned the scholastic scholars' habit of only debating, like a snake shedding its skin. I thought of entrusting everything of this life and the next to him. After a while, I carefully listened to and contemplated the Dharma. In general, for the Kagyu tradition,
