Due to two reasons that caused him to decide to come out of retreat, he stayed in retreat for a full thirteen years and one month, totaling fourteen years. During this time, even the attendant could not approach his residence, and he remained in retreat for a long time. After a while, not even smoke or sounds were emitted. The attendant wondered if the master was ill, so he went to visit. As it turned out, his mouth and nose were tightly bound with rope. The attendant thought the master had passed away and began to cry, which released the master from his samadhi. The master said, "If I had remained in that state, I would have become someone who doesn't wear a skull cup on his head, but it seems I will have to take another rebirth." It is said that he was the great translator of Sakya. This seems to be a sign that the dharmata has been completely exhausted, and the body is almost about to decompose into particles. Another time, he had the attendant prepare hot water, saying, "This time I will make vegetable soup." Before the attendant had boiled the water, the master brought the vegetables. He said, "I came back from Crow Valley, why haven't you boiled the water?" The attendant asked if he was joking, and the master gave the attendant a gift that Zurpoche had given him, and the attendant was very happy. He thought, "My master must have gained control over wind and mind." And he developed great reverence. One of the reasons he left the monastery was that three foolish people could not maintain the monastery's teachings. Goja Tshe said that the mother tantra was needed behind the path of means, so he went to Gokukpa. Migchung Wang Seng said that yoga was needed behind the extraction of the mandala, so he went to Sumpa Yebar. Gochung Wang Nge said that logic was needed behind the foundation and path of the doctrine, so he went to Pangka Darchungwa. They did not understand that the Secret Essence (Guhyagarbha Tantra) has both path and means and liberation, but did not distinguish the characteristics of the mother tantra. They put their eyes on the back of their heads, wanting to extract things from the mandala. They did not understand that logic is the doctrine of words and cannot proceed on the foundation path. For this reason, these three foolish people could not maintain the teaching hall, so he had to come out of retreat. Another reason was that in order to complete the restoration and capping ceremony of Dro Phuk Lhakhang, the venerable Zurpoche did not abandon rebirth, but insisted on attaining the view of union, and said, "You inherit my work." So the master ordered him to leave. Thus, when the activities of Deshek Zurchungpa flourished, all the tantrikas of Tibet prostrated to him.

He didn't do it, and there was no opportunity to go to a higher position. Therefore, Ngo Lotsawa made a rule not to prostrate to others and not to sit at the bottom. But once, when everyone gathered for a grand banquet in Shang, Ngo arrived before Zur Chungpa, who was sitting in the upper seat. At that time, great spiritual friends who were so skilled in words and strict in dealing with afflictions could not bear the majesty of the lords of yoga who were equal to the Buddha in their minds. Like the internal rules of the Five Excellent Ones, the stability of independence was lost, and actions became hasty, and even the trace of the vow not to prostrate disappeared. Just as the vines of the five limbs stick to the ground, everyone clearly turned to prostration. When the banquet was over, others asked: We ourselves made a vow not to prostrate to Zur Chungpa, why did you prostrate first? He replied: When I went to him, I thought, isn't this Bhagavan Mahashri Vajra? I didn't have the thought that he was a human being. It is said that he had very powerful magical powers and could walk in the sunlight. He conducted morning teachings in Ukpalung (place name), noon teachings in Dropuk (place name), and evening teachings in Drak Gyapo (place name), teaching three sessions a day in very remote places. Similarly, in Lhazemo (place name), he saw the dakinis dancing, and taking this as a cause, he employed the dakinis to build a temple supported by seven pillars and two special pillars, a total of nine pillars, which is known as the Dakini Lhakhang. He built forty-two Buddha statues and the protector Lekden Legur. He painted two mandalas, elaborate and concise, separately. At the time of consecration, he whipped Lekden's body with a whip, asking: Can you protect the Buddha's teachings? Lekden's head bent. He asked: Can you praise the merits of the Three Jewels? Lekden's lips trembled. Similarly, in the place where Mahashri Vajra showed his left foot, he also built a Yangdak Lhakhang. For the Lhakhang of Matok Jangbar, he granted the cutting of the bleeding sacred tree, thus completing the construction of the Lhakhang. When the best wood was offered to the lama, the foundation lords left one Spenma pillar and transported it to the river. In Ngamochang (place name), the pillar was submerged in the water for five days and did not come out. Then he sent two disciples to offer white torma on the rock.
