Ah! His heart was unbearable, wasn't he thrown into the water? Knowing this. Now you can't escape me. Come and paddle the coracle! I said I would go first, and the lama left without his feet touching the water. The attendant went to the coracle, and the coracle had already reached the other side. After waiting there for a long time, he was thirsty and brewed chang (Tibetan beer). After drinking all the chang, delusions arose. The chang was brewed for one year and four months. Thinking, what did the lama put in the jar for so long? So he opened the seal of the jar. Two black and white snakes as thick as a yoke, the knot that was entangled suddenly untied and rose into the sky. The remaining scorpions, frogs, toads, etc., also flew into the sky with crackling and buzzing sounds, and immediately the mash turned bluish-green and gave off a sour smell. So, (the attendant) took the mash and the empty jar away, the water flowed out, and the jar also broke. The lama said that due to the confusion of interdependence, if the dragon demon siblings of Dong (place name) did not come out, a monastery as big as Tibet would be built in Owl Valley (འུག་པ་ལུང་, place name). The Otter Hermitage would also be very prosperous, and a very efficacious land would appear. Now that the jar flows to the south, some residences and monasteries will be formed. The dragon demon siblings were appointed as the Dharma protectors of the Otter Hermitage. But that interdependence did not achieve great fruition. After that, vast monastic colleges and meditation centers appeared. At that time, Nyari Namma Yungdrung (ཉ་རི་ནམ་མ་གཡུང་དྲུང་) and Tashi (བཀྲ་ཤིས་), a couple, had no children, but were wealthy. Wanting to hold a religious ceremony, they gathered villagers and relatives and asked which lama was the best. Some said he was a tantrika, some said he was a monk, and some said he was a Bonpo, and they disagreed, so they suggested that they choose what they liked. The woman said, my property is enough, so I will do all three. So they invited the tantrika of Owl Valley (འུག་པ་ལུང་), the Bonpo of Laje (place name), and the monk of Chumik Ringmo (ཆུ་མིག་རིང་མོ). The three offering places gathered together and discussed building a temple, but there was disagreement on the main deity. The tantrika said to enshrine Vajrasattva The monk said to enshrine Shakyamuni Buddha. The Bonpo said to enshrine Shenrab Miwo So it was decided to build temples separately. Laje (place name) of Owl Valley (འུག་པ་ལུང་) because (his power) was weak, he joined forces with the Bonpo to build a temple. The Bonpo said: When building Donglha (གདོང་ལྷ་), your deity should also be the main one.

If I say my temple is the main temple, then your temple must become an appendage of mine, and in that case, neither would be good, so he thought it wouldn't be good and gave the temple to the Bonpos. Sro-ston-pa offered the place called Sro-phug and built a temple there. At that time, The patrons, Gnyan-sde-gsum, said, "Whoever is in charge of the roof of the temple will collect the flowers." The mantra practitioners and Bonpos were in charge, but the monks were not. Therefore, the mantra practitioners and Bonpos took turns collecting flowers each year. The monks said, "Please give us some too." So one year was given. From then on, all three took turns collecting each year. In the Sro-phug monastery, there are eight large and small temples headed by the Buddhas of the three times. The upper cloister has twenty pillars, and the lower cloister has sixty pillars. A large monastic college was established in this place. It is also said that during the time of rGya-bo of Thag, it was a time for genuine practice. Moreover, during a time when the fortune of Gyalwa Zur-che was very prosperous, when 'Bro-mi Lo-tsa-ba went to see the Pandit, there was not enough gold for the journey, (Zur-che) said, "Bring a lot of gold, and I will give you profound teachings." Like this, great beings have a firm foundation of vows to help others. From the arrangement of the trees: "Son of the lineage, do not be attached to one root of virtue. Do not think that it is enough to complete just one door of Dharma and one practice. Why is that? Son of the lineage, a Bodhisattva must accumulate immeasurable roots of virtue." Therefore, in order to make the four objects of gathering of a Bodhisattva complete and without deficiency, just like Karma Pakshi measured the roof of Tsurphu Monastery from the top of the mud heap to just be visible. Gyalwa Zurpoche, for the sake of those with thoughts, made two golden stupas, one containing the ridge of the sacred mountain of Sro-phug and the other containing the yang-gdong of Thag. He said, "These two golden stupas are connected by an iron chain." The monks said, "Then we will also offer a copper plate, a bell, and a black iron to connect." Then a great noise arose, so much so that the two local deities were startled. They offered a ransom the size of the liver of a gold mine and requested that no more gold be offered.
