is also not acceptable. In general, since India has a strong basis, many Indian books are rotten. There is no limit to the Buddha's teachings, how can the Tibetan translators determine its basis? Even when I went to the land of Oddiyana in the west, I could not find the end. Also, the original tantra texts were later more numerous in Nepal. Then, in a monastery in Bihar, Nepal, the categories of Nyingma tantras were unimaginably numerous. I said to the Nyingmas of Tibet, I will invite the Indian books and paṇḍitas of the Nyingma school. You should build in the villages of Mangyul. I did not succeed in translating. Now there is still something to be done in the translation of the New Translation Nyingma, but some who think they know Tibetan say that the views of the Nyingma school were altered by the old Tibetan mantra practitioners and are not correct. Such a statement is also unreasonable. If you understand, we ourselves should also alter such a Dharma, and there is nothing better than that even in the Buddha's teachings. So it is said. Similarly, there are also many that have disappeared. For example, at the time of King Dharmapāla, who was famous around the same time as Emperor Trisong Detsen, in a temple in Vajrasana, there was a tall Heruka statue made of silver, and many secret mantra scriptures. Some Śrāvakasaṃghas, such as Siṃhaladvīpa, said, "These were made by demons," and they divided the statue into pieces and took them for themselves. The scriptures were burned in the fire. Similarly, many people who went from the land of Bengal to Vikramaśīla to worship were also changed their minds, saying that those so-called Mahāyāna practitioners are practicing wrong views, please give us the correct Dharma, and they sought offerings by saying such things. The king heard about it and punished them. These words are said to be credible in Indian speech. Similarly, the Protector of Liberation said that in Droding Island there was no real teaching before, and it was Padmasambhava who first established it. Marme Dze Zangpo also went there. From then on, for about a hundred years, many Vajradharas from Magadha, Oddiyana, Kashmir, etc., went there and made the mantra teachings even more prosperous. Previously

It is said that during the time of King Dharmapala, the lineages of tantras that had disappeared in India, and the lineages of tantras that were brought from Oddiyana, many of them no longer existed in India. These are great lions of speech who aspire to wisdom, have pure eyes, are familiar with the realities and stories of the holy land, and do not forget to speak with upright nature. Similarly, in the biography of Jowo, Jowo thought in his heart: regarding the secret mantras in the human realm, he thought that there was no one more knowledgeable than him, and he had pride in his heart. Later, when he went to Tibet, he opened a treasury of Pekar Ling and saw many Sanskrit scriptures. Jowo saw many things that he had not heard or seen before, and he thought: regarding the great vehicle's instructions, there is nothing that I do not know. The Dakinis also showed countless palaces from the sky and showed many tantras, but these were not there. Regarding the great vehicle's secret mantras, he said that having boundaries and not having boundaries are different, and his pride disappeared. He offered many praises to the Tibetan king, saying that the spread of Dharma in Tibet seemed to have never happened in India. It is also said that, thanks to the kindness of the second teacher Padmavajra, many secret treasures of the Dakinis that were not known in India were translated and stored in the treasury of Samye Pekar. What can be denied about these? If it is not like that, or if a false statement that it is impure deceives people. Those speculators who hope to become wise, if they do not take the previous slander as a vow to protect, they are afraid that they will also leave that camp, and thus slander many correct sutras and tantras. If one can impose the faults that one has fabricated with reason on a great treatise that was previously translated, then the followers will find it amazing and rejoice in the ranks of the wise. This situation has been apparent for a long time. When Geshe Lotsawa was living in Tibet, he falsely claimed that the root tantra of all Dharma practices was made by Geshe Kyung Drak. When they went to India to invite Jowo, the monks of Vikrama were listening and teaching, and there was also a teaching called "Essence of Ambrosia," which the translator later translated into Tibetan.
