The difference of enjoying the appearances. In Trekchö, relying on the coarse channels and energies results in many obstacles and deviations. After relying on them in this way, the strength of the elements depends on age, whether old or young. Since this is the coarse, which should be abandoned, it is only bound by the three immovable essentials. However, by taking the effort to hold the channels and energies of ultimate wisdom as the path, all the coarse is exhausted, and the difference is that the body is liberated into a clear light body. In Trekchö, if the appearances have not reached their limit, it is possible to be liberated from the aggregates, but it is only possible for the body to be reduced to particles, and it is not possible to become a clear light body. If one does not become a clear light body, then sometimes, with the illusory body of occasional existence and the birthplaces of exhaustion, one cannot determine the ultimate ground. Moreover, by possessing the eyes, direct knowledge, and the great power of miraculous abilities, one obtains the great transference Vajra body. However, by relying on this, one cannot accomplish the great purpose of benefiting others. This can be seen by comparing the differences between Gyalwang Padmasambhava and other great accomplished masters of China and Tibet. In short, even in Ati, there are the three divisions of the Mind Section, Space Section, and Instruction Section. Among them, both the self-luminous openness of the Mind Section and the confidence in the groundlessness of the Space Section directly see awareness. However, the three categories of the Instruction Section only rely on the bardo. Here, there is the essential point of liberation into the light body. Therefore, those who take confused appearances as the path and seek the fruit of non-confusion, etc., should understand the difference between this and that with the eyes of wisdom. Secondly, there are four: the cherished vows of Trekchö in general, the path of revealing the essential points, the boundaries of the four visions, and the concluding instructions, etc. The first is that, regarding the essential point of this supreme vehicle, from the division of mind and wisdom, the nature of mind, like the sound of the Dharma nature, like a playing boy, is mixed with the energy of a wild, blind horse, and therefore has conceptual thoughts. Moreover, in the lungs, there is a tube like a stalk of grass, filled with breath, which is the basis for all breath to arise. And the branch channels that separate from the central channel appear in the realm of the five senses, having the function of karma and afflictions, playing with corpses in the charnel ground. The essence of mind is wisdom, and in it arises the function of grasping and being grasped, taking breath as a horse, encountering conditions. Thus it is said. Wisdom is the flesh lamp of citta, which is essence, nature, and great compassion.

It abides symbolized by the three, and is called the "Lamp of the Basis of Reality." As it is said in the *Thal 'gyur*: "In the precious palace of the mind, the essence is pure from the beginning. The union of emptiness and clarity is the resonance of the body. The complete face and hands are like a vase body. It abides as a spontaneously accomplished mass of light. Compassion is clear in its various colors." This means that it abides without inherent existence, merely as a basis for luminosity. Therefore, as it is also said in the *Entering Path*: "When the mind ceases, it is manifested by the body." Thus, as a method for purifying wind and mind, even relying on the generation and completion stages of the path, which involve effort, from the Guhyasamaja tantra downwards, only slightly diminishes conceptual thoughts and their associated habits. However, the key point of the natural purity arising from the state of non-doing is not realized. Furthermore, one is confused about the method of making the result appear on the path by relying on the key points of the doors. Therefore, it is extremely important to abandon all virtuous and non-virtuous actions of body, speech, and mind, and to train in the method of slowing down the wind and awareness. As it is said in the *Klong gsal*: "The outer, inner, and secret actions are, abandoning the ninefold actions of body, speech, and mind." Thus, how can one grasp the path of the arising of wisdom after abandoning the actions of the three doors in a state of immobility, like a corpse in a charnel ground? The kati vein, which connects from the heart to the eye, is a crystal tube. As it is said in the *Golden Garland*: "The vein that connects to the precious ocean, white, smooth, and empty inside, unstained by blood, great wisdom flows from there." Thus, at the time of the initial formation of the body, at the knot of the generative vein formed by the function of water, the eye of the lamp and the eye of the element are formed first. From the eye of the element, the aggregates are formed, and from the eye of the lamp, the light of wisdom is manifested. In the center of the eyeball, two vein roots are formed, resembling the horns of a ram, with thin roots and wide tips. There, a clear and bright substance, half white and half black, of the nature of water, arises, and is called the "Far-Reaching Water Lamp." If analyzed in detail, the Omniscient One said: "The light vein is pure, therefore it holds the appearance of wisdom, and because the illusory appearance of its basis is seen, therefore those with wisdom should distinguish between the basis and what depends on it."
