The mind that arises thinking it is okay. The mind overwhelmed by shame and faults, completely controlled by any of the five afflictions, striving to perform actions such as seizing, binding, and killing, and if ultimately able to do so in reality, deciding to do it. Its ripened result is the three lower realms. The result similar to the cause is great fear. The dominating result is disease and confusion, and many harms from humans and non-humans. Wrong view is: with a desire like abandoning towards a non-deceptive dharma such as cause and effect, perceiving it as untrue, and being completely controlled by any affliction, wanting to slander, the action is understood as non-existent as thought, and ultimately deciding. Its ripened result is various lower realms, the result similar to the cause is ignorance towards the correct view, the dominating result is the reversal of good and bad. Thus, the ten non-virtuous actions are also distinguished in terms of the heaviness of the sin from the internal aspect. Being completely controlled by strong afflictions in thought. In divine dharma, the important person is the guru, and in human dharma, the important person is the parents. Killing such a special object, deceiving them, stealing property and creating division. Speaking harsh words, greed, harmful intent. Furthermore, for those who abide in the precepts, engaging in what should not be engaged in. Like Devadatta, doing lying and divisive speech that separates the sangha. Thinking that arhats do not arise. Killing large bodies like animals that have flesh and blood. Stealing many and valuable objects. Happily doing sins without confession and vows, etc., are very heavy. Their opposite aspects are light. As Gyalsé Padma said: The ten non-virtues and the five without interval, the five near sins and the four heavy ones, the eight inverted actions and the unforgivable actions. Even if life is at stake, abandon even the slightest divisive speech. Acting in accordance with the ten virtues, lay practitioners, novices, probationary nuns, monks, etc., Pratimoksha vows and Bodhisattva vows, Secret Mantra vows, whatever vows are taken, take and protect them. You who desire liberation, diligently protect them like your life. As it is said, one must ascertain the aspects of karma and result just mentioned, in one's own continuum.

Examine which of those is the majority and grasp it with a determined attitude. No matter how many countless sins have been accumulated in the past, because they have not been grasped by conscious memory, wandering in an unguided state, the accumulated karma does not match the accumulation, making extremely great mistakes like barbarians. From now on, as soon as a coarse or subtle sinful thought arises, represented by the ten non-virtuous actions, rely on the antidote and try to escape confrontation. That alone is not enough; reverse the situation with powerful virtues, such as abandoning killing, etc. For the path of the ten virtues, strive like trying to extinguish a fire on your head or clothes. Meditate until you have generated this intention and joy. Furthermore, As the teacher Vasubandhu said, "The seen dharma, etc., the experienced, etc., are the three definite aspects." For example, take the stories of the seen dharma and experienced changes of sinners like Devadatta, flesh-eating Rakshasa, and Shrihata, who went to hell without abandoning their bodies. Unless you are a sinner who is destined to be reborn in the three lower realms, do not think like this: Alas, if that is the case, in order to attain omniscience, the root of those non-virtuous deeds must be destroyed. But thinking carefully, I have accumulated so many obvious sins in this life. But this does not represent even a small part. In past lives, for the sake of my retinue, disciples, sangha, lineage, etc., I have accumulated unimaginable sins, which is proven. Those results can only be experienced by oneself, and cannot be shared with those for whom they were done, as the teacher Nagarjuna said: You, for the sake of Brahmins, monks, gods, guests, parents, wives, and retinues, do not commit sins, because no one can share the retribution of hell. So, alas, alas! I am done! I am done! After dying from here, there is no choice but to experience the suffering of the lower realms. Thinking like this, there is no way not to become like a beggar. At that time, it is recognizing the truth of karma and its results. Now people only talk about good and evil, but do not truly recognize the root of what to take and what to abandon, so they are a little better than barbarians, but in reality, they are still in an unguided state.
