Therefore, at that time, the mind that generates thoughts of faults must be refuted. If you can refute it, there is no other way than to see everything done as good, or to have it come about unconsciously. Therefore, one should make a special effort to clarify the remedies for all the actions of the lama that appear to be faults. Whether the actions of the lama are good or bad, the way of discussing things, even the way of dressing and eating, etc., if a thought suddenly arises strongly, such as "this is not good," then one should immediately stop clinging to and following that thought, thinking: "For a sentient being with bad karma like me, it is impossible for such a fault to arise in such a special lama. It must be that the faults appear due to the power of karma and afflictions that I have been accustomed to since beginningless time. What is the difference between an old woman who has eaten too much molasses seeing a comb falling from the sky, and the color of a conch shell appearing yellow to the eye consciousness of someone suffering from jaundice?" We, beings whose hearts have been pierced by the five arrows of desire, always conform to our own behavior, and with a self-righteous attitude, why must we reveal those impure actions? Even for Shakyamuni Buddha, the guide who has exhausted all faults and perfected all virtues, there were the monk Leks Kar and the six heretical teachers such as Devadatta who saw him as a collection of faults. For the past panditas, khenpos, kings, and ministers, the bodhisattvas, there were also Bonpos and evil ministers who saw them as a collection of sins. This is no different from the noble Asanga seeing Maitreya as a female dog with her lower body being eaten by worms. In the Sutra of Meeting Father and Son, the Sugata also said that he manifested as a demon to benefit sentient beings. Therefore, seeing the Buddha as a demon is also because one's own appearance is impure. In reality, there are no faults in those objects at all. One must generate certainty about this, think about it repeatedly, and thereby suppress the delusions that see faults. The Condensed Meaning of the Tantras says: "In all the actions of the lama, think of them as the actions of the Buddha. Whether sleeping or rising, view them as the appearance of clear light and illusion. Whatever hand gestures and circumambulations are done, show them as the play of the Buddha. Dancing, gestures, and laughter are the actions of the Buddha's intention. Whatever is shown as anger and desire, is the cause of enlightenment and bodhi."

One should think like this. Even if one kills a hundred people, what the Buddha does is to benefit sentient beings. Even if one frolics with a hundred consorts, it is the great mudra of great bliss wisdom. Whatever desires and aspirations may appear, the Buddha is free from desires. Everything is the act of the Buddha, and seeing everything is the path of goodness. Hearing everything is the sacred Dharma. Thinking of everything is the glory of omniscience. The occurrence of error in the Guru, even to the end of the world, will not happen. If it really happens, it is only an appearance of error, because one's own appearance and thoughts are not pure. Just like a person with eye disease looking at a snow mountain, although the snow mountain is always white, they actually see it as black. Just like a jaundiced person looking at a conch shell, although the conch shell is always white, they see it as yellow. Just like a person with wrong views looking at water, even if there is no blood, pus, or weapons, they will see pus, blood, and weapons. Therefore, regarding the biography of the Guru, if wrong views arise, it will hinder the path to liberation. This is the skillful means of taming beings, and it should be understood as symbols and methods. Thus it is said. Therefore, in the definitive sense, there is absolutely no fault in the Holy One, and after a deep conviction is born, all good qualities will naturally arise. As Nagarjuna said: If a part of the peak of the King of Mountains falls, even if one thinks it will not fall, it will eventually fall. After receiving the prophecy of benefit through the kindness of the Guru, even if one thinks one will not be liberated, one will eventually be liberated. Thus it is said. In order to generate great reverence, even scolding is teaching the Dharma, and even beating is seen as a blessing, that is what is needed. The scriptures distinguish and say: In short, beating and scolding, fierce mantras and battles, the piercing and striking of weapons, whatever is done, is a method to eliminate the stains of one's own faults. Disrespect for these should be abandoned. The actions of the Guru's body, speech, and mind, whatever is done, are the wondrous manifestations of the Buddha's dance, and there should be no other thoughts. If one thinks like this, accomplishments will turn their backs. Due to wrong reverence, one will be seized by demons. One will be sickly and short-lived, and fall into the lower realms. Thus it is said. Therefore, think like this, my Guru is the one who has exhausted all faults and perfected all qualities, the Buddhas who have attained ultimate realization, although there is no difference from them, but because of our own merit and limited fortune, the Guru
